Which resort is the cleanest/best maintained?

Every year, about 15 - 30 minutes after checking in to CL at the Poly we get a visit from the head if housekeeping. They immediatly fix anything we have problems with.

I agree that people don't ask for things to be corrected frequently enough. We have always found Disney to be very responsive.

The newest would be bay lake towers. I'm a bit crazy when it comes to cleanliness. I tend to stay at deluxe resorts because I just "feel" better, I'm sure you can understand what I mean.

no please explain to us what you mean?:confused3:confused3:confused3

I relate and thought you were very funny about it in you post :-)

I think other PP are right on by saying that there really isn't a cleaner place - it is completely dependent on who is cleaning your room that day.

We stayed CL at YC last Dec and our room was dirty when we checked in (pee running down the front of the toilet, hair on the sheets and I'll just leave it at that cuz the other thing I found would really gross you out, as it did me) - anyway, we stayed there the year prior and had a spotless room. They came up and took care of everything.

The rooms had just been renovated, so that obviously didn't make a difference.

I think I might hurl.

This is very interesting. I would have thought the same thing but I've read more dirty room reports at the Polynesian which is "I think" one of the most expensive deluxes. From an amateur standpoint the Polynesian ties with Port Orleans - just from what I've read in reviews on the internet.

We have been going to WDW at least once a year for the last 12 years. We have stayed at all of the Values, CBR, POR, Saratoga Springs, BC, AKL, & GF. We have never gone into a room that was less than spotless. Granted, at GF Mousekeeping comes twice a day, didn't notice that at the other deluxes. We travel a lot & I like to be prepared for anything, so I always take Lysol spray & wipes.

I've stayed at Pop, ASMo, AS Sports, and POFQ. I found them all to be immaculate. It's one of the reasons I like Disney resorts - they're always clean and seem to have a much better standard of housekeeping than the off site places.

If it makes you feel better, bring a pack of Lysol wipes and first thing just wipe down all the surfaces that your kids may touch. Don't forget to wipe down the remote, telephone and door handles. Bring flip flops to wear around the room rather than walking on the bare floor.

I agree with this 100% but have to add if upon checking in your room is not clean go back to the lobby and talk to a cm.

As for age of resort and cleanliness I don't believe they go hand in hand. I've stayed at Contemporary shabby cleaning job, POR spotless room in the bayou, CSR dirty on check in spoiled milk in the fridge and looked like it was never dusted, YC spotless, BC Spotless thats just off the top of my head so I don't think it matters where you stay so much as whose doing the cleaning.
