She can't swim all that well so would need a smaller pool if possible or something you can just wade into. She likes captain hook, princesses, simba and other animals.

What resort category are you interested in? Value, Moderate, or Deluxe?? Let's start there :)

Beach Club is a great resort for that age. Stormalong Bay has an entire section of the pool complex dedicated to younger children. Kind of like a sand beach in and around a pool. The kids can play in the sand, wade into the pool, and have a lot of fun. Our 4 yo DS was able to walk throughout this entire section of the pool, so it doesn't get very deep. The location of the BC is wonderful, with easy access to Epcot and MGM. Soarin is our 4 year old's favorite ride now and he wanted to ride it again and again, so proximity to Epcot was a big benefit.

If you are looking for something in the MK area, the Wilderness Lodge has a large kiddie pool, along with great location and boat transportation to the MK, which our 4 year old absolutely loved. The Poly and GF have zero entry pools that can be waded into, along with great location and amenities.

My daugther (4) loved the GF with the Princess Tea Party, and all the character dining. It was nice to take a quick swim and change, then have dinner in the same hotel. Side note, she loved the man who stands by the front door also since he gave her stickers each time she walked by lol.

Unfortunatly no wading pools though. We just used her bubble and went in with her.

When did you stay at the GF? The have added a new pool that is zero entry. The new pool is over by the beach.

As for Moderate or Values with a 4 yo, it might be a toss up. I'd opt for a moderate because I think they provide a better overall experience, but opinions vary widely on that.

Our favorite moderate is POR. The pool is nice and has a slide, but no zero entry. There is a kiddle pool, but as I recall it isn't overly large. There is also a nice playground area. From POR you can take a boat to Downtown Disney, and that is a nice option. I feel that POR (or Dixie Landings as I still like to call it) is the best themed of the moderate resorts. Strolling past the mansions you really feel as if you've been taken back to the old South.

Coronado Springs is a nice resort as well. They have a very nice pool with a slide (again no zero entry), and a larger kiddie pool, along with a nice playground area for the kids adjacent to the pool.

When will you be going and for how many nights? Depending on time of year and what nights you need, renting DVC points from a member can be almost as cheap as booking a moderate resort. Might be an option to get yourself at the BC.

We were there in October, but never actually realized there was one by the beach lol! Obviously I should have looked here before we went. We mainly went to the one right outside the Sugar Loaf building.

For a value ASMo is all disney, when mine were little this was their favorite.
