which resort has the best pool?

Stormalong Bay is by far our favorite pool. It is so pretty. There are several hot tubs that are sort of hidden away and private and the beach area is great for little kids. Our next favorite pools would be Poly, BWV and WL. We also like CSR pool but there is not enough shade.

WOW, thanks guys. I just love when I get such tremendous response! Now to decide!!!!

This August DS13 & I (DVC) are planning on using the pools at:
Wilderness Lodge
Grand Floridian
Polynesian
Contemporary
Beach Club and
Boardwalk

I always smile when I see this question as a thread. A better question might be, "which resort has the second best pool?"

Then, the competition gets a little tighter. Some of the best include:

The Polynesian. The location so close to the Seven Seas Lagoon, with a view of Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain while splashing away is tough to beat. And, the volcano slide (which goes into complete darkness at one point) is a great addition. Then, there's the waterfall, the jets at one end, and the Hawaiian music playing under the water. The only drawback is its size.

Animal Kingdom Lodge. Huge pool, themed to look like a natural pond. Nice enough slide and a great hidden-in-the-foliage hot tub. And, it's just a couple steps away from giraffes. That's pretty unique.

Coronado Springs. Sporting the best water slide of any WDW resort and a nifty Steppe Temple. It's also a very large pool.

Port Orleans and Dixie Landings (you can't make me use the R word) PO has a nice, but short and slow water slide that is themed as a serpant with Neptune aboard. (Many call him Triton, though he's not.) Jazz playing Alligators and a nice waterfall add to the ambiance. Over at DxL, Ol Man Island features a pool that has several swimming areas to explore. Several flowing water features (including a kitchen sink) enhance the experience.

I agree - For me, the pools rank in this order.....

1.) Staormalong Bay at Y&BC
2.) The Grotto at Swan/Dolphin
3.) The Dig Site at Coronado Springs
4.) The Volcano at the Polynesian
5.) The Watering Hole at AKL

The Volcan would be higher than the Dig Site if the pool were larger & more appropriately sized to the resort. It's really a tiny pool, but the slide is awesome & being able to watch the Fireworks from the Pool at night is pretty special.
