Just wondering which resort has the best bus service? I know Pop has it's own bus (but the bus stop is always the farthest away from the parks). We are going in August and I was thinking of Pop but now I'm questioning it. Can anyone help. It is myself, DH, and DD7.

CSR has some of the best around. Not shared with any other resort and quick trips to the parks.

I think All StarMusic has the best bus service.

Pop has 2,880 guest rooms. 4 floors in each building.
Each of the All Stars has 1,960 rooms. 3 floors in each building.

So the bus lines At All Star Music are usually shorter than those at Pop.

----------------------------------

Bus rides are quite short from the ALL Stars according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses-CBR buses---POPbuses--PO buses--- Contemporary
MK 20 min---- 20 min-----25 min------10 min---20 min(mono)
Epcot 10 min-- 15 min-----20 min------10 min---15 min
MGM 10 min----12 min-----15 min------15 min---20min
AK 10 min------20min-------15 min----15 min---20 min
DTD 15 min----20 min------20 min-----15 min---35 min

It only takes 10 minutes to get to Epcot, MGM and AK from All Stars.
MK is 20 min away. That's the same amount of time it takes on the monorail from the Contemporary.

A WORD ABOUT BUS SHARING

To me Bus Sharing at the All Stars is really a non issue.

In the mornings during Park opening hours each All Star usually has a dedicated bus.

During mid day it is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes it is all 3 but often Sports and Movies share and Music has it's own bus back.
Each of the All Stars usually has it's own dedicated bus back from the MK.
That is a big plus.

It seems like the Music bus stop usually has the shortest of the three All Star bus lines.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

I am surprised to find that many of the resorts, even deluxe share busses. You usually only hear about the All Stars sharing busses. We have stayed ASMo and Pop. I much prefer ASMo. Pop century lines are so packed all of the time. On our trip in September 90% of the time we stood on the bus. ASMo did occasionally stop at all 3 All Star Resorts. In our week long stay in Feb/March we shared bus service maybe 4 times. The busses were not nearly as crowded and the wait was not nearly as long.

We rode busses to other Resorts for dinner. The AKL bus stopped at Blizzard Beach. I have heard that the CR, Poly, & GF share busses. I have also heard that the YC/BC, BW, Swan, & Dolphin share busses. So I do not think shared busses are exclusive to the ASR like I once did.

AKL does not share buses with any other resorts. We never had a line or had to stand (even after the fireworks) on our Sept. trip. POP's bus stops ARE the furthest away from the park entrance/exits...except from MGM (or Disney Studios). That one is right up front :) We stayed at POP three times. The buses were more packed than those at AKL but I never found them to be problematic.

Pop has the best bus service. Much better than the All Stars (which often share buses) or the deluxes (which share buses). Well, AKL is pretty good, too, but it's so far away from three of the parks! Even the mods have several bus stops within the resorts.

Though the Pop bus stops are kind of far away at the end of the day, there never seems to be a long wait for the bus to come at any given time.

I've stayed just about everywhere, so I've done a lot of comparing! :thumbsup2

Pop!

what I do when staying at a deluxe - is just do those parks.

Epcot resorts - Epcot and Studio

MK resorts - MK and Epcot

OKW, SSR and AKL - it doesn't matter they have bus transportation only.
So no short cuts - OKW and SSR do have a boat to DTD.

with the moderates and values - they only have bus transportation. So in that case Pop - one stop at the resort, one stop at the parks. Yes it can be far to walk - but it is worth it.
