I'm going to Disney for a quick solo stay in a couple weeks. I need to be in Orlando for work. I'm currently booked at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs. I've never stayed there but it looks perfectly fine. I don't need any frills for this trip. I'm considering moving over to All Star Movies. I've never stayed there but I've stayed at Pop Century and really liked it. I feel like Wyndham will be just a little "nicer". But, ASM will put me more in the bubble. I'm going to Universal one day and Epcot the 2nd day. My last day I'll probably be resort hopping. I've never spent any time at Disney Springs. It's not really my thing for the most part. I had decided I would explore it this trip and use the hotel location as my excuse. But, as it gets closer I'm feeling a pull to be at a Disney resort. Just looking for any other thoughts or opinions. WWYD?

If you're planning on starting at Epcot and you want to rope drop early entry, might be worth it to stay at Pop Century again for the skyliner. I was at Pop this weekend. I didn't RD Epcot, but I did DHS. Lined up for skyliner at 630 and had a very successful early entry. Epcots a little harder to do as it's so spread out, but should be able to get a couple rides in, depending on what you do, before early entry ends.

The transfer station was pretty cleared out when arriving from Pop, so was able to get right on to the next skyliner and get to the park

Depending on what you are allowed to *expense* go for a deluxe or a moderate on property. Swan and Dolphin might be a good choice as well (a quick boat ride or walk to EPCOT International Gate) and won't look so obvious on your expense report LOL!

WDW is 40 miles square so location, aside from doing parks will cut down on your commuting even around property. I4 is always backed up, so make sure you leave extra time for traffic.

Enjoy!

So for a few reasons (because it's essentially a work trip) my only options are Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs or AS Movies. Those are the ones that I have to choose from. The conference is at Disney Springs so I can stay there with the conference rate, or choose another at the same rate or cheaper. It's a really good conference rate so other resorts are not an option.

When we go as a family we love to stay deluxe!

Then I’d skip ASM. Yep, you’ll get pulled out of the Disney bubble every time you need a rideshare back to the hotel but you
1) won’t wait in bus lines
2) will have a nicer room

And I hear you on Disney Springs. I have places I like to eat there but after that… I can only buy so much from the M&M store before I get bored/can’t fit anymore in my suitcase 😝 I’d much rather spend my time and $$$ at the parks.

I would stick with Wyndham. All Stars is my least favorite property. Wyndham will offer nicer accommodations and it's a quick ride to property.

If your conference is at the Wyndham then I would stay there since the conference is the primary reason for your visit. Not sure about your conference but every conference I have attended there is no time to hit Disney parks unless you fly in early. I once had a conference that was to start Monday morning so I flew in early on Sunday and attended the Christmas party but the rest of the week was slammed up full with activities.
