Hi everyone....I recently became engaged and we have decided to have our honeymoon at WDW. This will be my very first time there. My soon to be hubby visited there many years ago. Being that he and I are both on the romantic side, we're thinking about either the: French Quarter or Riverside. Pros and Cons about both would be appreciated!
We're both super excited about going. I will be here with many more questions Im sure cause I dont want my first experience there to be a bad one
Im already confused when it comes to the whole dining plan area.
The Proposal.....
He and I talked early on about what we were wanting as far as dating, courting, getting married, etc. I had made a comment related to us being engaged one night and I remember him laughing and it continued throughout our date that particular night.
The day of him proposing, I had to run an errand and saw him coming up my street as I was driving. I had him wait for me at the house. When I returned, I entered my room to find roses and a card. Inside the card was a beautifully, handwritten note/letter from him to me. Thing is, I hadnt opened it up fully to read the inside at that point...lol. After reading the card, he proceeded to get down on one knee and asked me if Id be his wife...I said YES!! and on July 22, 2011, we became engaged
...Wanting to have pictures of our special day, I had him re-do the entire thing -in front of my family. I also re-read the card to find the actual proposal handwritten inside - well thats because he told me to open it fully up
. The pic in my siggy is when he asked me again.
Also the reason behind him laughing that particular night is because the ring had been sitting in the console of his car for a week unbeknownst to me. My niece had known all that time as well. He's lucky Im not that much of a nosey person...
My Ring - In Siggy
He had asked me what my style was before hand and I made the suggestion that I could show him instead...Im pretty simple and didnt want something that wasnt me. I also didnt want a big diamond but he upgraded from what I had shown him. I absolutely love my ring. Some people find it hard to believe that it came from Wal Mart....I know he was pretty hesitant about buying my ring from there but I havent had any problems with it.
ETA: I skipped all over how he and I met...lol
L and I met on an online dating site...yeah I know...lol. I had gone there to delete my profile when his popped up. Something about him caught my eye and I sent him a quick message asking if he dated outside his race. Not everyone does, but he responded saying he was open to it...L is the father of 8 children (all by the same woman..lol), 6 which he has custody of...I lost my husband in 2008 to brain cancer, so needless to say...its been an adjustment for everyone involved especially since I had finally made peace with my (late) husband being gone a month or 2 before L and I met...And as they say...the rest is history..
