Which Resort for Five Adults??

Which resorts offer rooms that will accomodate five adults?? I'm not too worried about being cramped, as all five of us will only be in there to sleep. Would it be better to book two rooms at a value instead of one somewhere else??

defintely go w/two rooms at a value... you'll get an extra bathroom and another tv! i cannot imagine sharing any hotel room (unless it's a suite) w/four other adults... just too close quarters!

I would go for 2 rooms at a value resort! We might have 4 people (3 adults, 2 children) in a moderate room for a couple nights and I'm thinking that might be tight.

For you, if you all shared one room it would have to be a deluxe and then there would be a $25/person per night extra charge for any adults over 2 per room. For 2 rooms at a value resort there would still be 3 adults in one room, so still an extra charge ($10/night) but then you'd get 4 beds (double beds), 2 tv's, and 2 bathrooms.

I agree with getting 2 value rooms. We've had 3 adults in a deluxe and I think it's really pushing the limits of closeness.

Call me crazy but, if you're very good friends/relatives, I'd book a deluxe room. The deluxe resorts are lovely and I'd rather stay at one of them than the values, even if I'm "crowded". We've had four adults in a deluxe at AKL before and it worked out fine.

You might consider concierge at the Boardwalk Inn. They have a deluxe room with two queen size beds and a sleeper sofa. And you'd all have access to the concierge lounge for daily continental breakfast and goodies. Having the lounge would give some of the party a place to hang out, read, etc. to free up room space. The Epcot resort area is a wonderful area for adults -- lots of good restaurants and some entertainment venues all within walking distance from the Boardwalk Inn.

Another thought would be the Home-away-from-home resorts. There you can get a two bedroom, with full kitchen and laundry in the unit. You can get them at AP discounts, or better yet, rent points from a DVC member (on the DVC Rent/Trade board) and get it much cheaper. Things get pricy on weekends, but all that space is just magnificent. OKW is the largest and probly cheapest to book, then there's SSR, and DVC resorts attached to BC, BW and WL (we stay at BWV and it suits family and friends fine - 6 in the unit this time).

Perhaps that is an idea for another time tho. From the original post it seems that two rooms at a Value resort should do best. See if you can get connecting rooms, and make it into a quasi-suite that way. Once you do the DVC resorts you'll be spoiled by the deluxe accommodations at Moderate prices.

Staying concierge would make it a little easier to justify the extra $25/person per night charge (yikes, an extra $75/night). At least you would have the food and, like ElizabethB mentioned, the lounge to hang out in.

I think it all depends on where the 5 adults are staying. Once you're done at the park, I am sure you will all want to go out and do something, so you should also think about a resort that has a lot of action around it. For example, if the five of you like to dance and drink (lotw!) then you might appreciate the Boardwalk (or YC/BC) for everything it has to offer. You have bars, lounges, the dancehall, and the swan & dolphin hotels all in walking distance. Even a MK resort might be doable because you can enjoy the park, hit up the resort, and then do the monorail trek to different MK resort lounges/restaurants.

If you're going to stay at a Value, you will have to take a bus or even drive for all this, and theres only so much you can do at a Value resort. Personally, if I was going with 4 other friends, I'd stay at either the Boardwalk or Polynesian (heck, maybe even Wilderness Lodge) because location is key for the things we want to do. Sure, we'll probably be at the parks during the day, but at night is when we'd get the most out of WDW property.

The only issue that would hold me back from reserving a deluxe room is sharing one bathroom between five people. Then again, I don't think something like that would really hold me back.

Definitely 2 rooms at a value.I know we all say we only sleep there but you want to sleep comfortably. You will be more than cramped in one room-you will be miserable with one bathroom, no privacy, and no room to breathe. Get two rooms at a value and enjoy more sleeping space, 2 bathrooms and more room to relax and move around.

It also probably depends on who the 5 adults are - friends, relatives, mixed genders, etc.
