Which Resort for Disney Marathon Weekend!

My family and I have decided to rent a dvc this year! And a Family member of mine is thinking about doing the Disney 1/2 Marathon in early November. And I was wondering what resort would be the best option to stay at during the 1/2 marathon?

At this late date, it will be what ever you can get. Nov is very busy for DVC especially marathon weekends. Good luck.

Best availability is 1BRs. For a studio, you needed to be renting 2 months ago.

They run past the boardwalk area so if anyone wanted to cheer the runner on it's an easy place to do it. But it's probably too late to book there. Race transportation is now from all resorts so any can work just fine.

Late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan is DVC's high to extremely high demand time of the year and the Wine & Dine race weekend in November (Thurs to Sun) is THE highest weekend demand time of the year. By this time annually at about 8 months out, you may find studios at SSR and possibly AKV Kidani open for the entire weekend but studios elsewhere will usually already have multiple days filled. Your best chance for any MK or Epcot area resort might be a 1BR (or possibly 2BR at VGF) but even for those, rooms might be filled one or more of the days. For future reference, if you intend to do any race weekends during the year and want a studio, you should look for a rental that can be reserved at 11 months out, when owners of any particular resort can start making reservations at their home resort.
