Hi all!

Looking for some advice... DH and I will be going to DW the first week in December. It'll be our first time going to see all the christmas decor! So excited! :santa:
I'd love to get your opinions on which resort has the best hotel christmas decor and why!

TIA! :goodvibes

We will be staying at The Wilderness Lodge with the Beautiful Decorations and Roaring Fires

Oh another NH resident! :thumbsup2

The wilderness lodge is up there on the top of my list :goodvibes

the WL is VERY pretty at Chritmas! I stayed there a couple years ago. Staying at the Boardwalk Inn in a month, and I hear that it is really cool at Christmas too.

:thumbsup2 So thats two for WL

We stayed at the BWI for our disneymoon. It was really pretty there without the decorations. I can't even imagine all decorated :cloud9:

OH cool! I have never stayed there. It has been on my list for the next resort to go to so I am really excited! I hear Beach Club is also really nice at Christmas.

GF is great.

The BC has some gorgeous stuff too.

Take the monorail tour and visit GF, Poly, Contemporary and see all their decorations.

oooh thats true too! (DH and I LOVE to resort hop lol) we stayed at AKL in 2008 and for three days before we moved to BWI... I've seen some pics of the AKL during christmas and that makes my heart melt :lovestruc AKL is definately my favorite resort but we do like to try different resorts. Before our cruise next year we are spending a night at the VWL so that could be a good sneak preview :thumbsup2

ps just noticed you're in boston! DH and I grew up 20mins north of boston before buying our house over the border in NH

Thats a really good idea! Monorail christmas decor tour! I like it! :hyper:

Grand FL and Boardwalk are my favs, but honestly all the Deluxe resorts are worth a view. Have fun - it's a great week to be there. :)

Oh, I would do the Wilderness Lodge. We just returned and loved it.

There is no bad resort to stay at for the christmas feel. Alot depends on what you want to spend for your stay, if you the sky is the limit on your room I Highly recommand the GF, it has the feel of an old victorian xmas, for moderate it is a toss up between the the CBR or the POFQ, for the Value reesorts I personnaly like the Pop Century. But no matter where you are staying Disney at xmas time is like no other time you can vist the polace feels like a whole different place. Hope you have fun and enjoy your trip.

Another vote for the WL. We are planning a trip for 2012 that maybe moved from January to December. I hope that we get to stay at the WL.

I don't know if you have seen this thread, but it may help you pick your resort. It's a thread of pictures from the resorts at Christmas.

I vote for WL. The fire places are amazing and there are tons of places to just sit and soak in all the decorations!

Also I vote for visiting the hotels on the monorail route. The GF especially. Gingerbread smell anyone?? And the band is amazing.

I have to say WL. We spent last Christmas there and loved it. There is just something about a giant fireplace and evergreens all around that make it feel like Christmas.:thumbsup2

we do AKL every other year at christmas...it is soooo pretty at that time!! It really feels warm and festive.

Good point! and thank you for giving your picks for all of the brackets of resorts! :thumbsup2

Yes no matter where we stay a monorail christmas decor tour is absolutely going to happen! :cutie:

I agree... nothing nicer than that giant fireplace!

AKL is my FAVORITE resort. we've stayed there twice so far. I would love to do it again but DH wants to try somewhere new and i can't blame him! But I WILL be checking the AKL out when we are there for our christmas trip... maybe i'll tempt him with dinner at JIKO

My family has been going to Disney every year since 2006 and have stayed primarily at the Wilderness Lodge, last year we stayed at the Polynesian and loved it.
Now that our kids are older we decided to go to Disney for Christmas. Until a month ago we were staying at the Polynesian, thinking about how much we live the Wilderness Lodge and looking at what people gave Been saying saying about the decorations we decided to change to the Wilderness Lodge.
We are all so incredibly excited! And plan on taking one whole evening touring all the resorts to look at the lights and decorations! 46 Days!! Woohoo!!!!!

I think will echo what some others have said and think the Wilderness Lodge is the best place to stay for Christmas. I'm from the north (Ohio) and it is the best resort at simulating the northern Christmas feel IMO.

If you don't want to spend the money on a deluxe you can stay just about anywhere and just go visit the different resorts to see their decorations.

Regardless of where you stay I would suggest taking a day to just tour the resorts. All of the Epcot area resorts have great lobby displays as does the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Animal Kingdom lodge.
