Which resort for August trip?

I need help picking out a resort. This will be a first time visit for us to WDW, and I want to make it really special. There is a total of 11 people in our party :thewave: . In our party there are:
6 adults
8 yr old
Two 6 yr olds
4 yr old
1 yr old

I was wondering what your favorite Concierge resort is and why . Hoping that might make my decision easier. We have an annual pass, so we are going to get 3 rooms instead of a two bedroom, or 3 bedroom. Someone on the board told me that would be the cheapest way. At this point we are not interested in DVC. So, any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated .

If it were me and in a large group like that for our first trip... hmmm... I think I would say Polynesian. Besides being a beautiful hotel it has Monorail access to the 2 (IMO) best parks and the monorail is so much easier for groups than the buses.

I have only stayed concierge in 2 places, Poly and Swan and I like the concierge at the Swan better.
During my last stay at the Poly they constantly ran out of food I think because guests that were not staying concierge were also coming in. The Hawaii building was under rehab and concierge was moved to the Tahiti building which is not constructed for concierge so anybody could walk in. That trip was not a good one for us.
We stayed at the Swan for the first time last year and it was wonderful!!!! Concierge guests must sign in when they come into the room so the staff knows who should and should not be in there.

I think you should call & see what's still available with the AP discount & then make a decision.
