Which resort do we CHOOSE!?!?

We are just so confused. We were so close to choosing the POFQ for this summer and were going to book it this week. It seems beautiful, a small moderate and the price was good. Then we looked at Wilderness Lodge, which we have stayed at before and LOVED, and we originally thought it was a lot out of the budget. Turns out, we did the math for our family of four, and it's only about $100 more with the special room discount! Of course, this changes everything. We want to stay at POFQ because we love staying at resorts that we have never stayed at but we loved WL when we went and with the chance of such a discount for a gorgeous deluxe resort, we don't know what to do! Advice? All input will be helpful!

EDIT 6:00PM: We will not be purchasing the meal plan. This makes a big impact on our stay because we want a big variety of food. When we stayed at the WL, the little snack shop had not a lot to choose from. The Port Orleans has a food court with a lot of food choices! We just do not know which to choose!

For $100 I'd go WL hands down. Have stayed at both, and POFQ is lovely, but for only $100 to be at a deluxe resort with more amenities and with the boat option to MK and easier access to so many restaurants, etc...

Who knows when you might get the opportunity to upgrade to the WL for just $100 more than POFQ. You can stay at POFQ next time.

I would choose WL. You can always stay at POFQ when you cant find a great discount.

My choice would be the WL without hesitation, especially for just a $100 difference. We've never stayed at POFQ, but we love the WL and for that little of a difference, I would definitely go with a deluxe over a mod.

I say ALWAYS try a new resort if possible!! That said, if WL is only $100 more why not try Beach Club/Yacht Club? I would go completely different! Everytime we try a new resort it's our New favorite!! We are on our fifth having never stayed anywhere twice!

I love the Wilderness Lodge...but yeah about Roaring Forks. Tasty but limited.

WL definitely! So close to MK, plus a boat ride away from CR and the monorail to other resorts! Enjoy!

You loved WL. You don't know yet if you will love POFQ. For just $100 difference, maybe stick with the one you already know you love? And then you can try POFQ another time when it really is significantly enough cheaper to not go back to WL.

I would try POFQ I always stay somewhere different. We have never stayed somewhere the same back to back. POFQ will not let you down we have stayed there and loved it and you will too. Some others said if WL is only $100 more what about some other resorts maybe try a new deluxe resort instead of a moderate those might not be very expensive either.

We just went through this same situation. We were all set and booked at POR for our upcoming trip. Then the room discount came along and allowed us to upgrade for around $100 or so more to stay at WL. It was difficult to choose as we love both resorts, but we went with WL since we knew we would not normally upgrade and pay to stay there. I agree that the POR (POFQ) has a bigger dining area than the WL, but really how often do you plan to eat there? We considered that as well, and figured maybe once we would grab a quick meal at the hotel, otherwise we would eat in other restaurants, so that took that negative out for us.
It's a hard choice as they are both lovely resorts, but if you know you plan to return to DW in the future, I would go with WL and then next time book POFQ. There may not be as good of a deal on your stay in the future.
