Which resort choice would give me the best chance?

We just decided to try to squeeze in a visit to WDW following a conference my DH will be attending in Naples. We are looking at visiting October 10th-13th, a time that we know is VERY busy! We were not surprised to see that there is nothing available. We would like a studio...any studio we can get. Which resorts should I wait list to give me the best chance?

SSR for sure and OKW and AKV because they are the biggest resorts.

Ssr and okw (not hospitality house). And i would keep checking. I've lucked out with last min akv studios but for amwaitlist you have to pick a view and each view counts as a separate waitlist (which is ridiculous)

I agree. You should have the option of taking 1st studio available or a specific request.

OP, I just posted this same question yesterday. We're in the same boat but for different dates. Currently have a reservation at POR for $720 and a waitlist for DVC. Hoping for AP rates to be released for Oct and that they'll beat the $720 I already have if my waitlist doesn't come through.

Good luck. I know of two different times when someone tried booking last minute and they ended up at one of the moderates.
Doesn't hurt to try.

Second weekend is Columbus Day. So there might be lots of waitlists before yours.
