Ok, this is to all who have been at WDW at Christmas time. Which resort, in your opinion, is the best to spend Christmas Day at? This will be our first time to be at WDW at Christmas. My DD will be graduating and going off to college :sad1:, so I would like to make this a memorable one. I'm thinking of WL?? We will be there from Dec 23 to Dec 30, 06.

Also, what is the weather like down there in December? We always go to WDW in October. Hoping it isn't real cold :cold:

Any other tips would be great! :goodvibes

Thanks!!! :wave2:

I am biased towards WL for Christmas (well anytime of year for that matter :teeth: ). It really is a great experience at that time of year. They have different choral groups appear in the lobby, sometimes bell ringers. Very Christmassy!

As far as weather, it is never predictable. We go to WDW every December and have experienced weather from 29 degrees to 85 degrees. We always plan on winter-spring-summer-fall weather and we are never dissapointed!
But that is the great thing about WL. Cozy fireplaces. Hot cocoa. Yummm

Christmas at DW is a tradition for us so here are my choices not necessarily in order of preference because that is like choosing between chocolate and champagne. BOTH are fantastic.

WL is a traditional Christmasy north woods sort of place with a huge fireplace and carols and sleigh ride.

GF is an elegant Christmasy place with roasted chestnuts and a huge gingerbread house and piano christmas carols.

POP has Christmas trees everywhere and somehow manages to be Disney and Christmas both at once.

These are our absolute favorites!!! Don't forget the processional at epcot for the Christmas story by a celebrity and an orchestra and choirs and snow!! We're having Christmas dinner at Germany. :Pinkbounc

We've never been for christmas, but we have been in early December and in early January, and I have to agree about WL- it's just so homey and nice!!

I've never been to CSR at x-mas but here are some photos of the resort.

We go with BWI, mostly because we spend alot of time at Epcot in the countries. On Christmas day we got caught in an absolute downpour and rushed back to the room. We also like the deluxe room lots of space for the 5ft. tree we bring.

That said some of the other resorts have alot more decorations so we usually plan some special meals at those.

Actually we have been on a mission to do all the parks on Christmas day only been able to do 3 so far. We never seem to make it to AK.

Have Fun!!

Thanks to all who replied. It really helped. I think we will be staying at the WL. I love sitting in front of a fireplace. I sit in front of ours all the time. It's so cozy

Does anyone have pictures of the WL at Christmas??

Here's a link to some WL photos of Christmas. Scroll down to the bottom for Holiday Photos. So pretty! You'll love it! :teeth:

I think you made a great choice! We had a Christmas stay at the WL and it was great. We were on the top floor with a view of the castle (in concierge) and I loved the lobby decorations. It got a little cold for the pool from time to time, and we had some heavy rain for a day or so, but the jacuzzi's were great (even in the drizzle) and the WL was so homey! :grouphug:
