I have too many ADRs and need to drop - suggestions also appreciated. We have a total of 6 TS credits each. DH is a food snob and not too excited about WDW. I need at least half the meals to be reliably good! Thanks for any advice you many offer!

Arrival Day: Akershus @ 6:40 (pretty sure I want to keep as DDs are princess fans)
Day 2: Ohana @ 5:30 (pretty sure I want to keep)
Day 3: Teppan Edo @ 4:20 OR Chefs de France @ 6:00 (Leaning towards dropping Chefs but not crazy about Teppan Edo time) - my birthday! :wizard:
Day 4: 50s Prime Time Cafe @ 12:05
Day 5: Tusker House @ 8:25 (might drop? No Minnie Mouse and planning half day at AK, rest of day at Resort)
Day 6: 1900 Park Fare @ 8:30 (DD loves Mary Poppins and Alice - I actually canceled an evening reservation at 1900 Park Fare when I made this one); Tony's Town Square @ 5:10 (might drop? But we like Italian food... Plus we have no sit down meals at the Magic Kingdom)
Departure Day: Chef Mickey's @ 9:25 (Concerned about the trip from Coronado Springs, but DD #2 LOVES Minnie Mouse)

Teppan Edo or 1900 PF...I would ditch either of them if not both

Very tough call. I'd drop Teppan Edo, but only because we live in Chicago near a million of these types of Japanese restaurants. Alternatively, if you want to keep all of them, just use your TS credits for some and pay out of pocket for the others. That's what we typically do when we go to Disney anyway...it still ends up being a huge cost savings in long run.

Teppan Edo- That time of your ADR would make me want to drop it

teppan edo, the hibachi place by my house we like better.
tonys town square we did not enjoy this meal at all....the food at a place like olive garden was better.

Well, since I doubt you're planning on eating dinner twice on your birthday I'd stick with that day and I'd drop Tepan Edo. We've always enjoyed the food there but similar Japanese food is pretty easy to find in most areas. That, coupled with the reservation time, would make me choose that one to drop.

If it were just a choice of which restaurant to drop I'd drop Tony's. We've never enjoyed the food there but, to be fair, we haven't been back for several years. In the MK we like the Crystal Palace or the Plaza. And don't worry about not having sit-down meals in the MK. Eat where you want to eat.

I would drop Tusker House at AK if you are only doing half of a day there - I would get started right at rope drop and forget about breakfast.

I would rather take young children to eat at Teppan Edo over Chefs de France. I think you will have a lot more "fun" there unless your kids are used to sitting at a nice meal and not being too bored with it.

We took 6 kids under the age of 8 to Teppan Edo and it was enjoyable for the adults because our kids were occupied :thumbsup2

We're in DC so we have hibachi as well, though we've only been once in the past 2-3 years. This is why I didn't make a Teppan Edo reservation initially. The girls LOVE our hibachi restaurant though so I thought it would be more fun for them to go to Teppan Edo than Chefs de France. However, we go out to eat a LOT at home so they are used to going to restaurants. I am pretty confident that they will behave themselves either way (as long as they have crayons!) BTW do Disney restaurants give crayons/coloring pages or should I pack my own with coloring books?

Arrival Day: Akershus @ 6:40 (pretty sure I want to keep as DDs are princess fans)KEEP for DD sake!
Day 2: Ohana @ 5:30 (pretty sure I want to keep)DEFINATELY KEEP! This is my two food snobs" only MUST DO!
Day 3: Teppan Edo @ 4:20 OR Chefs de France @ 6:00 (Leaning towards dropping Chefs but not crazy about Teppan Edo time) - my birthday! :wizard:I would drop both and try to get in at Tutto Italia! Would satisfy your italian food craving and is excellent! Chefs is always hit or miss and DD may not like it all too much. Teppan is, to us, just like any other Japanese steakhouse we would go to here at home.
Day 4: 50s Prime Time Cafe @ 12:05Definately DROP. DH will NOT be happy here!
Day 5: Tusker House @ 8:25 (might drop? No Minnie Mouse and planning half day at AK, rest of day at Resort)I would keep it. Especially if it's an early ressie time. You would get in the park early and hopefully get a good time on the early Safari when the animals are most active!:thumbsup2 If it's a dinner, I would drop it and try to get something at one of the resorts:)
Day 6: 1900 Park Fare @ 8:30 (DD loves Mary Poppins and Alice - I actually canceled an evening reservation at 1900 Park Fare when I made this one); keep 1900 just for your DD! We pay for the characters, not the food here:)Tony's Town Square @ 5:10 (might drop? But we like Italian food... Plus we have no sit down meals at the Magic Kingdom)DROP and go to either the Crystal Palace or Plaza if you must have a sit down at MK. We usually are happy at Casey's since MK is such a hectic day! DD7 loves to sit on the bleachers and watch the old cartoons while she eats!
Departure Day: Chef Mickey's @ 9:25 (Concerned about the trip from Coronado Springs, but DD #2 LOVES Minnie Mouse)Definately keep!

My suggestions are in red above. I kept in mind your birthday, DD, and yoru food snob (which I have 2 of myself and it's both my boys:)) This is what I would do if I was is your situation and JMHO of course. Good luck with what you choose:)

If DH is a food snob, you might want to try some of the signature restaurants (2 TS credits). I would recommend Jiko, Citricos, Flying Fish, Artist Point and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

We've not been impressed with 'Ohana. Haven't been to Teppan Edo, but we really liked Chefs. We enjoy 50's PTC, but it's definitely comfort food - nothing spectacular. We've enjoyed breakfast at TH & 1900 PF (although CP is our fave for breakfast). We did not care for Tony's at all.

Honestly, I don't think many of your choices would impress a food snob, especially one already not excited about WDW. If you want an impressive meal, try Jiko, Calif Grill, Citricos, or Narcoossee's.

The WDW restaurants give a coloring sheet, which is also the kids' menu, and one or two crayons. I always bring some coloring pages and crayons because the kids get bored with the same page or two all week.

I hope that you have a great trip and some tasty meals! :)

Thanks! I've been conflicted on 50s Prime Time, but I read that the CS options ad Hollywood Studios aren't great either? DH is a food snob but has a soft spot for midwest style food on occasion so I thought he might not mind that one? Is the food ok? Or would you go with CS at Hollywood Studios. If so, which one?

I thought of Tutto Italia - DH and I went for our honeymoon in Italy! Is Tutto Italia better than Chefs?

The Tusker House reservation was in the AM. The reasons I am torn about that one is (1) no Minnie Mouse and (2) I was afraid that the meal would last too long and it would be 10 AM before we could start going on rides/getting fastpasses.

We were going to try and stick with 1 credit meals this time around to see what they were like... Which are the best 1 credit restaurants? I had heard good things about Ohana so I thought he might like that (DH LOVES meat).

I've never done the dining plan, so I'm not too familiar with credits, but perhaps Kona Cafe or Boma? We like both of those places. Also, DH & I ate at Grand Floridian Cafe in Jan and it was very nice.

CS at DHS is even worse really! If you can, go to Sci Fi Drive in! It would be fun more than anything and the servings are HUGE! This is really the only place we would eat at DHS.

I thought of Tutto Italia - DH and I went for our honeymoon in Italy! Is Tutto Italia better than Chefs? I feel that Tutto would definitely be your best bet. For the kids, you, and DH! I do feel that Tutto has better food, yes;)

Our ressie is at 8am this November and I'm sure we'll be out by 9. We're fast eaters lol! My DDs both love Donald, so we can't miss him!

See above:)

If DH loves meat like my "boys" do...he will ADORE O'Hana like mine do! Actually, we all love Ohana!

I just did a reservation check. The only Tutto Italia reservation available on my birthday is at 8:20 PM. Too late for us. There is a 6:00 available at Bistro de Paris. How does Bistro de Paris compare to Chefs de France? The other options were San Angel (not interested - love Mexican food, but VERY picky about it), Nine Dragons (we have amazing Chinese restaurants near us and will be disappointed for sure), and Biergarten (sounds fun, but the food isn't really my style. Certainly not for my birthday!).

When we had breakfast at Tusker House last year, Minnie was there. Personally I would drop Tony's Town Square. We've only eaten there once but we won't go back. Food was just so so and we felt rushed during the whole meal and service wasn't very good either.

I would go ahead and book the Bistro. Then look at the menu for both and decide:) 8:20 for dinner at Tutto would be great for us!!! Too bad we're not going whenyou are lol!

It's too late for the girls. Would be perfect for us though! OK, I'm going to take a closer look at Bistro.
