Which Reservation Would You Drop and Why?

wow! I'm almost afraid to give my opinion, cause it seems everyone has different tastes! and I hate for you to make a decison based on what I say (esp since we are just 2 empty nesters)
but I think boma wouldn't have much thrill for the boys. (unless you want to go over there to see the animals.. which is hit or miss)
having raised 2 boys, I think they would not like park fare.

I think they would have a LOT of fun at Whispering Canyon.

also.. I know it's NOT on the DDP, but when I get the chance to take my grandson (4), I really think he would get a kick out of Trex!

If this was a poll, I would drop Cape May Cafe and 1900 Park Fair

I would drop 1900 PF - I thought the food was terrible. The characters are fun, but I wouldn't think your boys would enjoy it that much. The older one would probably get teased by the Tremaines about being single.

I would also drop WCC. We tried it in March and the service was very chaotic and the food just wasn't that good. It was ok, definitely not inedible or anything, just not as good as your other options.

ETA: We felt very rushed at both CP and Tusker House. Time with the characters is very limited and we just felt like they were trying to hurry us out of there. With that being said, we really enjoyed the food at Tusker House and the ability to get into AK before park opening. We also did an early breakfast at CP, same reason as Tusker. We felt more rushed at CP, we had a hard time getting each character to take another picture with the other family we were with. We had to call them back when they started to rush away after seeing our DD. Food was good though, not as good as TH for breakfast though. I've read great reviews for lunch and dinner at CP.

Park Fare I would drop kick. We ate there time before last. Didn't eat there last trip. Don't want to EVER go back. Food humdrum, loud, waitresses were so snooty. Bottom line it was a fiasco.:snooty::snooty::snooty:

I would say drop 1900PF. As for the other one- I haven't eaten at all of them so not sure - WCC haas been hit or miss with us but we enjoyed it (2 boys but mine are older) Have only been to Cape May for b'fast and loved it. Have had dinner and b'fast at Boma and prefer b'fast. Would cancel Boma if it is dinner but not b'fast. Good luck with your decision.

Drop 1900 PF, especially since you have little boys. I love all your other reservations.

dump 1900 park fare definitely, keep WC they will have fun doing the pony rides around the restaurants and will absolutely love the bottomless milkshakes, i know my girls & DH loved them!!!!

I would drop Boma, Cape May and 1900 Park Fare (for girls), and add Chef Mickeys for the boys. :thumbsup2

On a side note, I would also drop Whispering Canyon & add Kona Cafe. We loved it. It was better than Le Cellier to all nine if us. We all LOVED it!!

I completely agree:)

We were at 1900 PF in December. The food was good. The staff was nice and the characters were awesome. We took DS 5 (10 days from 6 at the time) and DD 22 months. DS loved it. He loves the Villains so seeing Lady Tremaine and the step-sisters was the bomb for him.

I would drop Boma and Cape May if it's for dinner. If it's for breakfast, keep and drop WCC. I have never been interested in eating at Boma. My palate is pretty open when it comes to food but I don't like sweet food for a meal and the huge variety of spices. I think I would just get sick.

I would drop the Crystal Palace.

I am very suprised at this answer. May I ask why?

CP has to be one of the best character meals on property: good food, great characters/entertainment, lovely atmosphere and attentive service. We've eaten there more times than I can count, and it is consistently a good experience.

Really interested in hearing your reasons for the OP to drop this, considering the ages of her kids.

Tiger :)

I would drop 1900 (my DD didn't care for it and was scared of the Hatter, she does LOVE the regular characters though) and do Cape May... We love Cape May.

I would also probably drop Whispering Canyon if you needed a second to drop.

I only said I would drop CP from my perspective. Considering the age of your kids, you are absolutely correct. We loved Crystal Palace when our children were growing up but do not enjoy it as much now. It is an awesome place and very magical for young children.

Got it! I thought you were giving advice specifically to OP, based on bad experiences there, and I was interested in hearing about those.

I would never drop Boma! We always enjoyed visiting AKL including our son and the buffet does have regular food on it too.

Out of those you listed I would drop Whispering Canyon and 1900 Park Faire. I wouldn't add more character meals but then two was always my limit and you have three even after you drop Park Faire.

I would drop the breakfast ADRs just because we don't eat a big breakfast and wouldn't spend a dining credit on it.

I would never drop Boma!

I agree with the above. We have always enjoyed Boma, and there are plenty of choices on the buffet that are not all that spicy or unusual. Plus the AKL is a wonderful resort to visit and explore, with lots of fun stuff for your boys to experience while there.

I think PF is a given to drop. WCC just never appealed to me personally, but some people do seem to like it.
