I need to cancel one reservation that I made for Thanksgiving week. Trying to stick to my budget. It is so easy to get carried away. Which of the following would you cancel?

Jiko- Dinner 2CS
Crystal Palace - Breakfast
Wave - Dinner
CRT - Dinner 2CS
Boma - Breakfast
Rainforest Cafe - Lunch
Chef Mickey's - Dinner
Les Chefs de France - Lunch
50's Prime Time Cafe- Dinner

I did try to schedule a few buffets because my DD & her DBFF are both 9yrs old and may want to eat from my plate or my DH plate because the childrens menus offer little variety and may become mundane over 8 days. We are on the DDP with 8 TS credits. I will pay OOP for Rainforest Cafe and 50's Prime Time. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I would cancel CRT dinner. Unlike breakfast and lunch, there won't be any pricesses at dinner.

I agree I would cancel CRT dinner, if that isn't an option then I would cancel either Jiko or the Wave.

You mentioned that you were on a budget so I just wanted to suggest to you that you consider paying OOP for Boma breakfast it may be cheaper then paying for 50's especially if you will be getting some of the things they are known for like shakes and dessert. They really add up. Just wanted to mention it. You can find the menus and prices at allears.

i would cancel rain forest cafe. There are lots of them around- we have been to several in different cities.

I would stick with the Disney dining places, that you can;t experience any where else

I agree with this...Rainforest Cafe are around everywhere and I would also suggest CRT as well..Either one of these two are the ones to cancel! BTW Crystal Palace breakfast is awesome

I would cancel Rainforest Cafe too. I think their food is just so so and the prices not that great.

I hate to disagree, but I think two 9 year old girls would rather eat in the castle than at the Wave. At that age it really isn't about the food but the experience and to be able to tell their friends they ate in Cinderella's Castle:cloud9:. There are no princesses in the restaurant but Cinderella is downstairs and the mice and Fairy Godmother are nice.

It is 2 TS credits but you get your photo with Cinderella, a wand or sword and tip is included.

Get rid of the Rain Forest Cafe....we had the worst meal ever there. We have been to the one in Chicago and its OK.

My husband and I think Rainforest Cafe is noisy, overpriced and just so so food. Having said all that however we always go because our son(6) absolutely loves it, he loves the food and the atmosphere and just finds the whole place really exciting (we have nothing like this at home). So from this point of view it is well worth it. If you haven't been before then go, the kids will love it. We think the DTD one is better than the AK one.

Boma is a grown up restaurant but the food is really good and it gives you the chance to look round the AKL which is stunning...so keep.

CP is fab...definitely keep.

The girls will love eating in the castle... definitely keep.

50's is fun...keep.

CM.. never been, but going this trip...it's a buffet with characters,so gotta be fun for the kids...keep.

Jiko and The wave...for the adults...I would maybe cancel one of these...probably Jiko, as you're on a budget and it's 2TS so you'd only have to pay for Rainforest OOP (which you would have to anyway as it's not on the dining plan) Never been to The Wave but the food is getting rave reviews.

Chefs... again it is quite "grown up" but it's in Epcot so lots of kids and Remy might be there! We've been there for dinner and the food was yummy.

So... my choice to cancel would be Jiko...try it on another trip without the kids!

If it were me, I would dump Rainforest and Chefs de France. I had the absolute worst meal there, awful service. It was an option for the CP show I wanted but rather than eat there again, I booked an earlier show!!
The Wave would be iffy for me...I keep looking at their menu and then backing off.
But, CRT is something every girl should do once. Are the princessess at CRT for dinner? I was under the impression they weren't there then, only at lunch and breakfast, but I could be wrong.
Chef Mickeys is a tradition with my family..not the greatest food but a fun spot. And 50's P/T is terrific on many levels.

I would cancel rainforest also, it's generic and can be gotten anywhere. I am not sure Jiko is worth 2ts, I might change that also and add Coral Reef for the girls also for the ambience of the whole underwater thing and not necessarily for the food.
I would also add Kona Cafe at the Poly and then stay to watch fireworks on their beach.
just my 2 cents

I wouldn't cancel the Rainforest Cafe, I'd just share meals there. The portions are HUGE and are easily shared.

If you do have to cancel one I'd cancel Rainforest Cafe, only because it is not part of the Dining Plan. You'll have to pay OOP for your meal there.

I agree! Plus, I think that you should KEEP Rainforest. It's a fun restaurant & we always enjoy eating there. (By the way, the Rainforest by Animal Kingdom offers a yummy breakfast that's less than their regular menu prices & almost everything is large enough for two hungry adults to share: http://allears.net/menu/men-rfak.htm. DH & I are both big eaters & get stuffed when we share the huge french toast or breakfast pizza.) I would drop Wave- the kids won't really be interested in eating there & the menu is somewhat similar to JIKO. If you're trying to fill in the night, take a boat ride from CR to Ft. Wilderness & do the campfire sing-a-long with Chip & Dale. You can make s'mores & stick around for the nightly movie.

Chef Mickeys dinner, while the characters were fun the food was terrible

Going to agree with most everyone else and say cancel the Rainforest Cafe. While I think the food is good, it's typical salads and burgers and such and you can find them everywhere!

Rainforest or Le Chefs. I would definitely keep CRT, my goodness, it's the castle, I'm sure your DD will love it!
