We are going to the BCV the last week of Oct 2004 and due to 2 different home resorts, BCV & SSR, I am only able to make a partial reservation at 11 months.

The question:
What should I do first, we need a 2bdr lock-off and a studio. I have enough for the 2 bdr from Sun, oct 24 - sat, oct 30 and can add the thur oct 21-sat 23 at seven months. Or do the the studio for the whole time.

Which is harder to book the 2bdr or the studio for that week. I figured the last weekend would be hardest so I am booking that. I thought that halloween would be a busy time. I figured a I could add the first weekend later.

Someone reccommended booking some rooms at SSR and cancelling at 7 months but I don't find that fair for the people that really want to stay there during that time. I would be taking rooms I don't plan to use and that's unfair.

Thanks for any suggestions
Judy

The only problem I see with your plan is that your first weekend is within the time the Food and Wine Festival is going on and those Epcot resorts book up fast for that. You may have to waitlist and may have to prepare yourself for a move,

You really should make the ressie at SSR because it's entirely possible that you won't be able to move at the 7 month window for those dates. You may have to waitlist and your waitlist may not come tthrough. SO you SHOULD make the ressie at SSR as your backup plan because you may have to use it.

Does that make sense? It's just better to KNOW you have a place to stay, even if it means moving. There's nothing that says you can't move to BCV if there's an opening. But it's just better, in my mind, to know yoyu have a spot somewhere.

I wouldn't agree that it's unfair to make a backup plan for SSR. I would agree that there's no reason to do it unless you intend to use it under certain circumstances. Only make the back up reservations if you will use them IF what you really want isn't available. Your choices are no different than your last request for info. You must simply make a partial reservation at BCV in whatever breakdown you're most comfortable with. You could make backup reservations at SSR if you desire. You could rent points or just wait until the 7 month window which in this case will probably work out fine.
