Which rental communities closest to Disney??

We might rent a condo or villa for our trip in a few months. I know all about Windsor Hills and how close it is to Disney.

What are some other communities like WH that are very close to Disney??

Those that have community pools and clubhouses are Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Emerald Island : these have condos, townhouses and pool homes. Sunset Lakes has a community pool but only pool homes. Rolling Hills, Formosa Gardens Estates, Indian Creek, Acadia Estates, Oak Island Cove and Harbour have pool homes and no community pool. There's Crestwynd Bay, Encantada, Orbit One, Oakwater, Grand Palms etc are condos / townhouses with resort facilities.

Of the subdivisions that I mentioned, they are all within 3-4 miles of Disney's Animal Kingdom using Sherberth Rd. Sunset Lakes and Grand Palms would be a little further.

When we stayed on Sunset Lakes we found a way to be at Animal Kingdom within 5 minutes. A lot depends on where you are going. Magic Kingdom took a little longer because it's further up World Drive.

We personally prefer to stay on the east side of Disney as we find it's easier to get to Sea World and Universal. We also like going to the nice restaurants on Sand Lake Rd and they are much easier to get to from the east side.

We always rent a great house on Cumbrian Lakes now and we find it takes about 10 minutes to get on Disney property. Since they widened Poinciana Blvd it's much quicker...thankfully the roadworks that were on there during last years stay were gone a couple of weeks ago when we were there again.

We've done Emerald Island, and the drive was literally just a few minutes into the parking lot's. Though the traffic on 192 can be a bit of a pain.
