We are taking our DD, age 5, to celebrate her birthday turning 6 at Disney World. It is intended to be a Princess Overload weekend. I am unsure how to plan her princess dresses in accordance to the parks we will be attending. Any and all help is appreciated.
She will have a Princess Elsa Dress, Princess Tiana dress and Cinderella dress.
Our schedule is: Day 1: HS, Day 2: MK and Day 3: Epcot. She has a BBB planned in MK on Day 2 and DTD on Day 3.
I assumed at HS she should be Elsa because of the Sing a Long and but the actual Frozen Princesses are at MK
I wanted her to be Princess Tiana on MK day but gosh how magical to have her become Cinderella at the Castle!
I want her to be Cinderella at Epcot since we have reservations at Akershus but dont want her to have worn the other dress on a previous day and risk it ruined.

So few days, so many dresses. What is this Queen to do?? princess:princess:princess:

I would definitely do the Tiana dress at MK, we met her and it was such a lovely experience. She was so talkative and it doesn't seem like many little girls dress like Tiana vs. Cinderella or Elsa.

I think Elsa at HS and Cinderella at Epcot would be great.

I agree with the above. Our DD wore her Tiana dress to MK and Tiana took so much time with her. The attendant let us in line, even though it had been closed. It was absolutely precious.

Elsa for the Sing a Long is good. Elsa in the MK sees so many little Elsa's it's not really that special, in my opinion.

And that leaves Cinderalla for Akershus.

Have an awesome princess week!

Just as an FYI, do the Tiana meet and greet in the afternoon after the parade. Typically that's when Naveen shows up with her. It's a great M/G!

Tiana is a wonderful meet and greet. She is one of my twin's favorite princesses and she was so sweet to him. I really want to get my DD a Tiana dress just to wear to meet her, but DD doesn't like green. I think I might do it anyways.

Until A&E came along, Tiana was my DD5's favorite. I think I am going to bring her Tiana dress along (because I know she won't keep it on all day) to day we plan to meet her, even if it ends up being the same day as we meet A&E.

Not sure if you have done BBB before or not. The hairstyle is like cement. It lasts for days even sleeping on it. Not sure if you want to do two appointments back to back on day 2 and 3. You would have to wash or double wash (to really get everything out) the hair that night or morning of, just so it could be redone again. Just something to consider.

I agree with the above. Definitely Elsa for HS, and Tiana for MK even though the Cinderella dress would be magical, but Tiana isn't in Epcot, is she? Then she would get to see Cinderella on Day 3. Have a magical princess weekend!

I have no opinion on which dress for which park. I just want to tell you that I think you are one of the most extra special moms in the world!! I hope you have a great princess weekend!

This does depend on the hairstyle. We definitely found it true with the bun but we did the Sofia the First hairstyle and it didn't even last an hour let alone days

Wow- this is all such great feedback! Seems like there is a consensus on the days to be which Princess. I too have heard that Tiana spends more time with those dressed like her so I will surely do Tiana dress on MK day, Elsa for HS and Cinderella for Epcot.
I didnt think about the BBB hairstyles @Camshell - Since the bun is the "cement" do, I will save that for Epcot/Cinderella day (the second BBB appointment) and have her do the fake hair hairstlye on MK day. I dont mind washing it out (I say that now!) so that she can experience it twice and have the cement bun to wear home the last day. You are a lifesaver for bringing this to my attention! :worship:

What such kind words!!! This was supposed to be her 5th birthday present but we ended up pregnant with our second princess last year and so I had to add double the magic for her waiting patiently another year.

We did it a couple of years ago. The Fairy Tale Princess is a "cement" bun only with tiara, and the Disney Diva is also a "cement" bun with a back combed hair extension added over top of the bun. The bun gives the Disney Diva hair the "lift" you see. I'm not sure how the Pop Princess is done as we didn't get it. Additionally, as another poster has said they have a Princess Sofia which looks to be very light on the hairspray and gel.

No matter what you do your daughter will probably love this. My daughter who is not much of a girly girl still loved her makeover.

I am so bummed that we missed the Tiana M/G in MK last week. I totally agree with the others. Elsa is everywhere in MK, so Tiana will stand out nicely. My DD wore Aurora in Epcot and I don't think I saw another one.

Thats a good observation @limpy. I can imagine how many Elsa's there are in MK. I do want her her stand out and she's loves to be showered with attention so anything to get more "hi Princess" from CM and characters, the better!!
