We apparently have preferred seating to a parade(either DL or the ELP). Which one is more crowded? Which parade should we use it for?

We were able to grab a great spot for ELP in the front of Bug's Land about 20min before parade time on Sat.

The DL parade seemed a lot more crowded, my mom was in an ECV so we were able to watch from the handicap viewing area but if we were not in that section it would have been difficult to find a good spot. We saw this parade on a Sunday afternoon.

So I would recommend getting preferred seating to the DL parade.

The ELP is basically the same as it has been (with different characters..of course) since it was at Disneyland park...and..I love it...but..I am taking my 8 yo daughter and her friend this year..so we have to have preferred seating to see the High School Musical thing...

The prefered seating for the DL parade is at the trainstation. We enjoyed the parade better from street level, rather then looking down on it (we've done both). The seating they gave us for the ELP was at the very end of the route, as the parade exits. We decide we would just find seats on our own instead. There were some chairs near where we sat, that I'm assuming was some sort of reserved seating, but I'm not sure who or for what (we had VIP tour seats). We never made it to block party bash or high school musical, so I'm not sure what the seats were like for those.

I wish they had ressie's for the fireworks like they did have for the balcony during Fantasmic. Would make my life much easier. As for the PS issue I would do ELP. Any suggestions where to sit if you do not have PS for the ELP.

Thanks,

I don't believe you can get preferred seating to HS Musical. It is a rolling entertainment attraction (like BPB but much smaller) and rolls up to a stop. A lot of people just follow it along as it's going and stop with it. You will be positioned on the side, but they play to 3 sides.

Our preferred seats for the Parade of Dreams were directly across from It's a Small World (on the ground seating). There is a little brick balcony area right behind, and then an area with a rope (that says VIP I think??). When the parade comes out from the fence by Small World, it's better than when it comes from Main Street IMO. We sat there during the week and they never asked for our vouchers - then on Sun asked for them. Great spot to videotape from with less people to jump in front of you.

We always sit within 100 feet of Wine Country Traitorria. We usually stake out a spot at least 30 min before. If you can bring a blanket or something to hold your spot when the kids stand up and walk around it really helps. You can get a glass of wine and cheeseplate from the Traitorria and they have a restroom for quick potty breaks. You also have the hot chocolate cart, beercart, and margarita slushy stand nearby. What else can you ask for? We always ran into a problem with dinner though because 90 min before parade time the lines start to get looong for food. We also watched the parade from in front of the Golden Zephyr/Jellyfish area right across from the corndog stand. The kids continues to go on rides while we held down our parade spots. I would not do the preferred seating for the ELP since there is so many other spots.

During the 50th celebration they had a tour package that allowed for watching the fireworks at the train station in Main Street. I think it was pricey, like $50. Does anyone know what happened to this?

That is good to know..THANKS

We just got our package today..and preferred seating is at the Small World..not by the trains as another poster said..Maybe they have two preferred seating areas..but we got SW...
