considering POP for 12/12-12/19. solo, older woman travel. thought that i'd try POP if i have a chance of getting in a relatively quiet, private location at the standard rate. any suggestions?
Going to POP tomorrow, curiuos about that myself. I think I'm going to ask for 70's section. I'm traveling with my 8 yo but we like it quiet at night too. I also want to be close to the buses. I'll let you know how we make out. Maggie
A couple of weeks ago we stayed in room 6140 in the 70's building. It was wonderfully peaceful and quiet, facing the lake. I think any of the rooms not facing a pool or courtyard would be quiet though. We loved it!
Yes, face the lake! We were in the 70's building facing the foosball court and had traffic by the room at ALL hours (don't people sleep?). That was my major complaint and at least that can be improved with a different location.
ok, i don't know anything for sure, but it seems i've read that the 70's is a 'preferred' tate. can i request a 70's (or ANY decade) with a quiet, 'lake view' with the standard rate?
That's what I did in Feb and we had a GREAT 3rd floor Lake View quiet room. I loved it. There is NO foot traffic and it was delightful (even for an afternoon nap) and not too far from anything at all! there is a dandy cut through under the big wheel to the bus stop! I think in the 50s there is the same sort of lake view, but I heard its a further walk. Either way...
