We are trying to plan which days we will spend at the parks for trip in May. I found the extended hours, which is the only way we can do the parks, we don't like it too crowded. Which day would I have the most ride time with less crowds at Magic Kingdom. Sunday memorial day 11-2am extended hours or the following Friday from 9-12am extended hours? I figure Memorial Day weekend will be crowded, but will many people stay that late?

I'm confused - you do sound like you have previous experience, but I think the EMH parks are always MORE crowded than the non-EMH ones. If you're trying to avoid the crowds, I wouldn't be at the EMH park.

Unless you're going for the first hour in the AM and hopping somewhere else and then going to the 12 AM - 3 AM evening EMH somewhere.

Yes -- lots of people will stay that late. I would expect most of May to be fairly crowded -- but that may depend on your definition of crowded. It won't be as bad as major holidays; early May would be better than later in May. The following Friday (after MD) might be somewhat less crowded.

Yes, we have been many times. We usually go to the park with evening EMH around 4pm and stay until closing. That really seems to work well for us. Typically I would choose the later hours, but I have never been during Memorial Day weekend. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience they could lend to help me make the decision. We can only afford to do one theme park and one water park this trip. So I have to gamble and pick the best date.

Weekend days and holidays are NUTS at MK no matter WHICH holiday. We usually stay away from EMH on a weekend no matter where they are, and during the week, we always avoid the EMH morning park, because they get crowded early and stay that way all day. That's especially true at Epcot and MK.
