we are going for 9 days and have always purchased lenght of stay passes, but now we have dvc membership and disney club too.So which is the most effective pass for us.{we go in the parks every day}THANKS for the advice!!!!!

Anytime we think we will be in the parks 8 days or more, we use our Disney Club membership to get a small discount on annual passes. This works for us because we seldom go to the water parks, Pleasure Island after 7 p.m., or Disney Quest.

The best ticket for you will depend on your touring plans. You'll have to do the math. LOL! Here is the link to the DIS info on tickets and ticket prices:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm

The info includes DC discount prices. Remember that DVC will get you a 10% discount on the listed price for Ultimate Park Hopper (Length of Stay) passes. DVC also gives you a discounts on admission to the water parks (10%) and Pleasure Island (10%)and Disney Quest (15%).

9 days, parks everyday....annual pass. However if you like water parks or pleasure island you might rethink this.

I probably will be doing an annual pass this year...but only because I bought 7-day hoppers in the past & have water park/PI days left on them. One advantage is that it will ensure I will go at least 9 days this year.:jester:

Oh the other thing is...hoppers let you elect to visit Universal instead one day. I won't be going to Universal until Feb 2003 under the current plan...altho I might break the plan to go to Grinchmas in Dec 2002 (sacrilege, I know...but Universal has its plusses too).

This may seem like a stupid question, but do you live in Chicago or somewhere in Illinios? If so do you live near a disney store?

The reason I ask is that there is currently a thread in the budget board about $50 dollar gift cards that are being offered through I think the middle of November with the purchase of adult park hopper tickets.

From what I have read this is only available in Illinois and Florida. Some have had success then changing the gift card in to Disney Dollars. There is even talk about then upgrading them to annual passes once you get to the actual parks.

Not real sure about any of it since I live in Oklahoma and can't get them but thought you might want to check it out if you are close enough to a store that is participating. I would sure like to have that $50 per ticket gift card, takes a pretty good chunk out of the price of the ticket.

Thanks for the advice! Now where do you buy annual pass, and do we get a discount on those?

There is no DVC discount on AP's. They may be purchased at guests services at each park or a voucher may be purchased at TDS and redeemed at any park. There is a Disney Club discount available (about 5%).

There is also a Premium AP- which includes PI and water parks- you'll need to do the math to determine if the extra expense is worth it for you.

Enjoy!
