Is there anyone who could help??????

We are going to Florida for the 1st time arriving 27th May 06. We have 4 adults and 3 children aged 9, 8, and 2 in our party.

We were wondering where the best places would be to visit on the Sunday as all the information that I have read seems to differ when they say which parks are the quietest on weekends. Also the Monday 29th may is Memorial Day so which place would be the best to visit......?

Any help would be REALLY appreciated.....

Memorial weekend will be very very busy where ever you go.

The best Disney park to visit on the Saturday should be Animal Kingdom. A lot of other people will be at MK.

On the Sunday the next big park to visit will be Epoct. This is a really big park. There is too much to see and do in one day and the little ones will get tired.

Personally, if it were me, I would use your Saturday to get to know where everything is.

Go to downtown, catch a a Disney bus to MK, and then ride the monorail. All the transport is included with your park tickets.

I was recommended to go to Wilderness lodge have some lunch, catch the boat to MK, then ride the monorail and then the boat back again to the wilderness lodge. You can go and eat in any of the Disney hotels. It was a great day, we also got to ride with the driver. The next day we hit the parks.

A good non-Disney park for first timerss, is Sea world. It's a lovely park and lots of shows to watch, so you don't get as tired.

You do not want to do park's back to back, you need rest day's in between

If you want to do a park on your first day (and you probably will), I would go with Animal Kingdom. The previous day (Saturday) is an EMH day for Disney's onsite guests, so it will be busy that day (and thus quieter on the Sunday). Epcot is usually a good bet any day because it's so big, but I would avoid it on a Sunday because that's its EMH morning. Sunday is EMH evening at MK, so avoid that at all costs. Having said that, you probably won't want to be at a park in the evening because you'll be jetlagged and thus awake at the crack of dawn, but wanting to go to bed early.

Without a doubt, Epcot will be your best bet on the Monday. It absorbs crowds better than the other parks and, having had its EMH morning the previous day, all the onsite guests will have done it that day and be at another park on Monday.

Hello donna and welcome to the Dis :wave2:

Don't be put off by the crowds for your first few days, they should decrease after Memorial Day has gone by :)

Are you excited?? Where are you staying?

Hi Miffy2003, :wave2:

We are staying ina villa (allocated on arrival). I have been told though somewhere on the 192 or US27

I use this website

http://www.touringplans.com/BestDays.htm

to help with our planning. Not only does it tell you which parks will be busiest/least busy each day for the whole year - it gives you some idea exactly how busy it will be - using a scale of 1-10.

I hope it helps!

Also - if you haven't already got it - I heartily recommend the book 'A Brit's Guide to Orlando and Walt Disney World' (2006 edition) by Simon Veness - a regular contributor to these boards.

We don't travel to Orlando without it!

We travel on a saturday every year and we always go to Sea World on the Sunday it is an easy first day as you can take your time around the park! hope that is of some help!
