Which park would you spend your last day in?

I'm struggling with the best itinerary. We had planned on spending our last park day in MK due to a BOG lunch ADR, but that day is also a MVMCP night, so will have to leave by 6. That's not too bad because I can go pack up for the long drive home the next day, BUT now I finally scored a BOG dinner ADR for the day before-which is an EMH night (Wednesday).

Part of me wants to keep the original plan because the park will be less crowded on the party day. The other option is to do DHS on the last day and enjoy the (hopefully) Christmas feeling there at night-which I love. We will likely be doing DHS on arrival night, also, so I will have already experienced it, but I really love nighttime shows and kind of want to close the trip out with one. Do you think we will get enough done in MK on EMH night, or should we go back the next day, also?

I love MK on party days. If you have a hopper, hop to HS after MK closes. If you don’t have hoppers and want your last day to be a long no one, go with HS. I always end my trips with MK.

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming you don't have park hoppers. How much time are you spending at DHS on arrival night? My only concern is that there is still very little to do in the park for two days worth. But, if you're not concerned with repeating attractions or you are only getting a couple hours out of arrival night, I'd go to DHS and enjoy the night time entertainment!

Maybe play it by ear? See if your Christmas DHS cravings are satisfied day one...if not close out your trip there!

We always end at MK with fireworks but I wouldn't do that on a party night. Personally, I would do Epcot and end with Illuminations.

On our last day we are doing DHS and then hopping to MK. Our flight leaves at 10:15 pm so plenty of time in the park. I like to close out with MK but DHS is DD favorite park and ToT is our favorite ride so hopping made sense.

You are correct. No park hoppers. I should have mentioned that. We will likely have a few hours on arrival night-depending on what time we arrive (we are driving). I'm also wondering about spending that much time there.

Epcot would have been my first choice to end the trip, but that day is an EMH morning. Do you think that will make it super crowded at night?

Your post sounds just like us! I am battling the same question, though our last night will be on a Saturday, and crowd calendars show MK as being in the red. HS is a good alternate.. not sure what to do. No park hoppers here, either. We are also going in December (first week). I think I'm just going to play it by ear and figure the last day out when we are down there. Making no dining for that day!

I may end up doing the same...Foreign concept for me, though!:rotfl2:

I was going to recommend Epcot due to ending with Illuminations. I would not be too concerned about it being crowded all day due to EMH in the morning.

When the WS opens, crowds in Epcot seem to thin quite a bit!

MK. That is usually the park we want the most time at (except when F&W is on) When the park closes, take the monorail around to the resorts and enjoy the decorations.
Then back to your resort.

When I read the title of this thread I thought; that's awful presumptuous, who says I'd want to spend my last day at a Disney park? I mean it is Disboards, but that's a big assumption... and then I read the OP.

(oh, and the answer to the original question in my own head was EPCOT, of course...)

:P

We usually end in MK. Our plan for our August trip with a late departure flight our last day is to rope drop AK, we have FPs for FOP, KS, and EE and then hop to MK. Late Skipper Canteen lunch and see what FPs we can score before heading back to the resort.
