We are going in June for only four days =( and have decided to skip Animal Kingdom so that we could have Downtown Disney shopping and eating day our last day there.... I am really bummed about skipping this park because I LOVE the Dinosaur ride....but I dont want to skip out on my shopping and eating lol. Everyone going is in agreement for skipping this one park so it all works out. Just curious which park you would skip if you had to make a choice?

Ugh! Skip a park????? :lmao:

I couldn't make a choice - I would schedule Downtown for an evening, AK closes at 5pm so I would then go to DD :goodvibes

AK, there just isn't as much there for us. Depending on when you are leaving, you could have the best of both worlds -- AK closes at 5, leave there and go to DTD, which is open well into the evening!

We are leaving at 3 the last day and we are doing a character breakfast, shopping, then eating at downtown.....the night before we have a wedding to attend at the boardwalk so that cuts out an evening for us....If we were not bringing our two year old I would most def try and fit in every park and just have lack of sleep lol, but throwing a toddler in the mix is going to make that more difficult....

OP said June - I *think* AK is open until 7. Anyway, if it were me & no kids, I couldn't care less if I ever go to MK again. AK would be the one I could NOT skip. Obviously, everyone's opinion will vary :)

I agree with the pp, I would do AK during the day and the DTD in the evening.

:thumbsup2 This. But we never to DTD anyway, so we'd probably skip that. We also aren't really Hollywood Studios fans, so that's an option for skipping for us as well. MK, Epcot and AK are must-dos for us on every trip - and we often do MK and AK twice.

Honestly if it were me there's no way I can even think of skipping a park . animal kingdom although it's probably a half a day or just a little bit more to cover, it's 1 of those parks where you could never get enough of. This park is just so different from all the other parks ,this has mostly shows,& the rides here are awesome too, but the landscape and the beautiful scenery are breathtaking as well. Go to dtd late afternoon or that night. You won't regret it.

Ditto to what PP's said. Go to DTD one late afternoon/evening after AK or HS. I wouldn't skip a park to spend a whole day in DTD. A few hours is enough for me!

Animal Kingdom IS the most skipped park, which is fine with me, because it's less crowded and I can spend lots of quiet mornings and afternoons there :goodvibes.

I suppose if I had to skip a park it would be DHS. It does house my favorite attraction, TOT, but the kids would never let me skip AK, due to Dinosaur and EE.

Have fun, whichever park you choose to skip it's fine ~ they are all wonderful and fun and there's always next time!

THIS!

I don't think I could skip a park. AK and DHS are 1/2 day parks for us, so I'd work it out that way. If I was forced to skip one, I guess I'd have to say AK. I love EE, but I love ToT more.

Hands down, AK. It's by far our least favorite park. We only spend a 1/2 day - 3/4 day as it is, so if we only had 4 days, we'd def. skip it.

We usually stay at AK until around 3 or 4 then go to DTD shopping. It's a small park and really there isn't much there but it's part of Disney and missing any part would be blasphemy. :lmao:

I dont want to skip out on my shopping and eating lol.

I can't relate to this so I can't properly respond. (The food at AK is actually right up there with Epcot as some of the best park food, so the food part is covered. And as for shopping over going to a theme park? Not in my DNA.)

picking a park to skip would be almost impossible for me - actually, I might even consider skipping MK which seems outrageous to even say.

skipping a park in lieu of DTD would never happen for us - you can shop and eat and drink almost anywhere, including in the parks. we can't even find time to rationalize going to DTD on an 8 day trip.

My daughter and I are planning a trip for September. We are skipping AK. We skipped it a couple of years ago too. We are going to MK, Epcot, and HS 2 days each. The only way we would go to AK is if we take a later flight out.

Now when we go as a whole family next year we will go to AK, but only because it will be my youngest son's first Disney trip. The rest of the family would prefer to skip it.
