We will be staying at Universal for four nights this October and looking to do both parks and Sea World on the Monday (holiday), Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on which parks to do on which days. Also, not being American, I'm wondering if Columbus Day is the type of holiday that will impact crowds a lot.

I'd love any advice! Thanks :)

I'm sure some of the regulars can be of more help, but speaking from my experience last year the answer is a resounding YES. Crowds are heavier on Columbus Day. I had no issues with onsite express, but it was a little tight with HHN and the folks there for that.

i'll second cieslack on that !

my annual fall trips always includes the columbus day weekend.
each year the crowds grow on that monday.

many schools up north have that day off from school.
and there are many states that have a school fall break period around that time period.

Hi. I would personally do the Sea World first since it's a smaller park. There are a few rides to go on, if you leave early when the park opens you could be back at US or IOA by 5pm.
My opinion. I went last year with my husband and daughter we walked around went on 1 ride 4x's becuase my daughter wasn't tall enough, and saw the Whale show, after we walked through the gift shop and left the park.

Thanks for your help, Everyone!

Kathy- are you suggesting Sea World just because it's the least exciting of the three or because you think it might be best for the holiday (or both)? I had sort of been saving SW for our last day so that we would be home early the night before flying home. But there's no reason we couldn't go there Monday- it just hadn't occurred to me :)
