Hi

I am looking at my Thanksgiving week itinerary and had originally planned on doing Thanksgiving Day in Epcot, but I realized that the Candlelight Processional doesn't start until the day after.

Which park would be better for Thanksgiving day? Where to go for dinner?

We are doing MK the day before and are looking for a quieter park :) for T-day.

Thanks.

We will also be at WDW over Thanksgiving 2005 and we are planning on doing EC on Thanksgiving Day due to the crowds being very heavy at the MK.

Tiffany - I was thinking the same thing, but I don't want to miss the Candlelight Processional which starts on Friday night. I may either go to the Studios or AK instead.

We will be there from 11/22-11/28. You?

We also will be at WDW over Thansgiving. Our thoughts are to, yes, avoid the parks, and eat Thanksgiving dinner at one of the resorts. Maybe in the evening we'll go to MGM to see the Osborne lights. But during the day, we're thinking of avoiding the parks altogether.

Hi,
We will be there from the 19th through the 26th. We will be traveling with friends of our and their three children. Right now we are booked to stay at POR.

We just miss each other - we are staying @ POFQ. Got a great deal on Song - $69 each way.

Hey, we'll be there the 19-25! but we'll be at FW in our camper. :cool1: Not sure how many of us are going; maybe 4-5 of us + GM, and possibly my sis & family will join us. Not sure about DS18--he might come for the free food, though.

We arrived on T-day last year. The parks were a zoo. We did head over to MGM before getting into our room and it was crazy!!! No fastpasses that would suit us..it was about 1:30 and we had to be back at BWV by 4 to get into our room. We finally left after wandering around for a few hours. Then we had T-day dinner at Chef Mickey's, which was wonderful. But you could see the people pouring out of MK and the hordes trying to get in. So, we didn't even think about going there. We got back to BW and went over to Epcot and just walked around WS for a bit but that was pretty crowded also. I think that if I had to do it again, I would have just spent some time in AK.

We did the week before Thanksgiving a few years ago and left the Friday after Thanksgiving. What we did was visit all the parks early in the week when they were less crowded, then on Thanksgiving day we hung out at the pool and had an early dinner at Cape May's buffet. It was wonderful! They had all the Thanksgiving food plus seafood. After dinner we rented the bikes and rode around the boardwalk. We went and saw the osbourne lights on Wed. night. The parks got more and more crowded each day so we were ready to stay at the pool on Thanksgiving!

I'll be at WDW Thanksgiving week and plan to tour parks Sunday-Wednesday, spending Thanksgiving Day relaxing a bit, enjoying dinner at a yet-to-be determined location, and picking up those must-have souvenirs. Then I'll be rested up and ready for the drive home Friday.

WE spent Thanksgiving week 2003 & 2004 at WDW and will be there again this Thanksgiving week. In 2003 we spent Thanksgiving Day at MGM then Downtown Disney. In 2004 we were at MGm when it opened and stayed until about 1 p.m. We rode every ride we wanted, saw every show we wanted (it was our 2nd day at MGM) then we were at Epcot from 1:30 to close. Crowds at both parks were tolerable!!

The parks are crazy but do you have a hopper pass (or plan on one) because my pick for T-day dinner would be liberty tree tavern in MK!! great blast to the past atmoshere and if you have kids they will love the characters (not sure if they have them on t-ady) and great turkey dinner always. So you could go to epcot hop on the monorail and go to mk for dinner...
unfortunatley I do not think that the American pavillion has a sit sown or that would be nice!

If you go to allearsnet.com they have a list of previous t-day dinners...it seems LeCellier has one at epcot that would also be good!
