We will be going next summer and probably will be getting 5 day base tickets. If we want to take a day off during the week, which park should we do on the Saturday of the week?

Probable plan:

MK-2 days
AK, EPCOT, MGM-1 day each

I'm new new to this board but I did find this information on another site. This is probably just a generalization. I'm sure there may be other factors to take into effect that can change this.

A recent inquiry of Disney regarding which days to visit which parks had the following response:

"During regular attendance periods, our parks tend to be the busiest on the following days:

Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday
Epcot: Tuesday and Friday
Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday
Disney's Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday"

I wish I knew the final answer to this one. :confused3

I keep poring through different books and they all have a different view. The book with the most scientific approach seems to be The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. Their website is here:

It has crowd predictions on a day-by-day basis. Fantastic you might think, except some of the web updates are completely different from those in the book. You wouldn't have thought they would change that much!

A note of caution though - The Unofficial Guide say that one of the best days to do MK is a Saturday and they claim evidence to prove it. However, of all the times I've been to MK, the worst day, by far, was a Saturday. :furious: Seems to be okay for other predicitions though. :)

The park that has worked for me is Epcot. I don't think it is as popular at the weekend and its a big park, so it absorbs lots of people. Still ride your favourite attractions ASAP though :thumbsup2

Oh so true!! EPCOT is safer! :thumbsup2

We went last August and took the UG advice and went on a Saturday. We got there before opening for breakfast, and was at the rope drop for the opening. We did all over Fantasyland in an hour, and that was with riding Peter Pan twice. We were able to do the whole park (well all the things we wanted to do and that was alot) that day. It was a long day, but we had a ball, and took a TS break for lunch. We were shocked that the park wasn't overly crowded for a Saturday.
