I know about the crowd calendars, but those are predictions. Is there any way to tell in real time which parks are least crowded? Can't decide where we want to go today...

Your safest bet is to follow the predictions at easywdw.com

You could also look at the wait times at all the parks and see which one has shorter times. Sometimes that helps us decide which park to go to if you don't have FPs.

We decided to go to AK today, despite Josh's recommendation against it. It worked out great for us. It was pretty crowded, but we've seen worse. We just strolled around, ate lunch at Y&Y (walked in, no res, no wait), DH rode EE twice in a row in the single rider line with zero wait, and we finally saw the Nemo show for the first time. We also did my favorite, the bird show. We bought our Starbucks mug and that was about it. But we are local now and don't feel the need to pack everything in to a day's visit anymore. And we basically waited for nothing the whole day. We did skip the Safari though - the wait on that was at 70 min, and there were no FP available for any headline attractions by the time we got to the park.
