I have two days for the parks! I want to eat at the Sci-Fi Dine in Theatre or the 50's Prime Time Cafe!

We are going to Epcot on Monday and to the MK on Friday.

Which would be easier for us to get to one of these restaurants from? I don't care how late we eat, I am just looking at ease of access from one of these parks over another!

(hey, does this question make sense??) I am trying to word my thoughts and it doesn't always work!

So, from Epcot or MK for this dinner....

Also, can we get into MGM with a Hopper Pass if we JUST are going there for dinner??? I don't want to try and tackle MGM attractions this trip. I just want to stay focused but want to eat at one of these restaurants!

Thanks, we are going SEPTEMBER 22-27th, if that helps with park hours!!!

I think you can hop on a water taxi from Epcot to MGM and visa versa. Is that what you mean?

Epcot definitely. If you were feeling particularly energetic that day, you could actually walk there via the International Gateway and through Boardwalk.

The boats are a lot easier. They do stop at the YC/BC, BW and S&D along the way.

Tink is correct, there is a boat that runs between MGM and Epcot, with some resort stops in the middle.

You could also take the International Gateway out of Epcot and walk all the way to MGM. Either way, I'd plan at least 30 minutes--walking or riding the boat--perhaps more if there's a chance the boat will fill up.

If you have genuine hopper passes, you shouldn't have any problems entering and exiting MGM as you describe. Hopper passes are only available in the 4 day and up variety, so I assume you have some days left over from a prior visit. If you are purchasing one day, one park tickets at the gate, park hopping is not permitted.

Yes, you can get a boat from Epcot to MGM, or if you feel like it you can walk through Boardwalk and to MGM. It really isn't a bad walk if the weather is nice and your not to tired from Epcot. Yes you can get into MGM with your hopper pass. It doesn't matter what you are going in for, you can still use them. Enjoy the meal, at either resturant. They are both good and the theming is great of course. :bounce:

We are going to try and get the 3 day hopper passes from Alamo and save the other day for next year.

Thank you for your help! I have been reading my guide books for this and you answered faster than any book!!!!

So, if we eat an early supper (late lunch) at 4:00 p.m., can we then go back to Epcot?

Does this sound good???

As long as you have a park hopper ticket, you can come and go and come back again. Even with this - I believe you should still get your hand stamped when you leave and know you will return.:D

I believe there is still bus service between the Studios & Epcot, also. If you want to leave from the Future World section of Epcot, it is much faster. The boat is a much nicer way to get there, though.

It is easier to get from Epcot to MGM than from MK to MGM, although neither are too terribly difficult.

From Epcot, ride the boat outside of the International Gateway ( it is a nice relaxing ride), and from MK, take the bus to MGM.

Your hopper pass is good at any of the 4 main parks. You can even go to all 4 in one day, and it only uses one days admission. Just remember to get your hand stamped in case your ticket won't scan for some reason.

ObNurse--Like the others said, Epcot is definitely easier. I would plan to take the boat to MGM. We waited at MGM for a long time for a bus to MK. The boat ride seems more relaxing and you will get to see the resorts and the Boardwalk on the way. My son thought the boat was a ride in itself. If you want to take a leisurely walk (i.e. more time), you can stroll along the Boardwalk and still be able to see the resorts from a distance.

MGM is neat at night and is fun to walk around. You might want to see if you can get a fastpass before dinner for Rock 'n Roller Coaster. That's my favorite ride in all of WDW. If you have any little ones they might enjoy the 5:30 parade.

I would check the park hours for the time you are going. Sometimes World Showcase stays open later. You might be able to go back into Epcot for Illuminations.

Also, try to make a PS for your meal.

I think one of your questions was whether or not you would need a ticket to get in just to eat and the answer is yes. You still need a ticket to get into the park just to eat.
