what do you think is better to do, MGM one day and AK+EPCOT another day, or EPCOT one day, and AK+MGM the other.
do I need more time at MGM or EPCOT ?
wich day is better to cut a few hours for AK MGM or or EPCOT
I am going without kids just me an my wife
thank you

EPCOT is the biggest of the parks from a touring standpoint, so you probably would only scratch the surface by spending half a day there.

AK is physically very large, but has relatively few attractions and can be done in half a day.

MGM is a full-day park IMHO, but if you only have half a day, get there in the afternoon, do the major attractions and see Fantasmic.

That being said, not everybody likes EPCOT. If you're not into the cultural stuff in the World Showcase, then you can cover the park in half a day. But I suspect your wife will enjoy browsing the international shops. I know mine did.

I have a slightly different opinion. I do agree that Epcot cannot be done in just one day so definately no half days there. But I do think that if timed right you can do most everything in MGM in a half day. I would do AK in the morning then MGM in the afternoon.

I love MGM and definitely spend a full day there with rides and shows and then finish the day with Fantasmic at night.

We try to go to Epcot in the early hours one day and then finish up with anything we missed on another day (in the evening).

We used to do Animal Kingdom in 1/2 a day (did the major attractions and skipped alot of the "nature" stuff)... but when we've taken the time to do it all (and it really is worth doing), it does take the better part of the day.

Keep in mind that AK closes the earliest and you can finish the day at Epcot/World Showcase, which has the latest closing time.

Disnee Dad Says................................Wow, three parks and only two days. I would split both days. MGM first, then EPCOT. There is a lot to see at MGM, so pick and choose. Then EPCOT in the afternoon till closing. Next day AK early then EPCOT. You can't miss this way. If you like EPCOT you can rush through AK and be out by lunchtime. If you are indifferent to EPCOT you can take more time at AK and really see the park. And if somehow EPCOT bores you, after AK go back to MGM! I think I have all the angles worked out on this one!

Hi and Welcome to the Dis..

I think everyone is different.. I love Epcot... so I would spend more time there....I would go to AK early in the AM do the safari ride and whatever else I wanted to do and then head to MGM in the afternoon...where I would try and get fastpasses for the rides that I wanted and do whatever else I could..

But of course, everyone is different and like certain parks for certain reasons... Good luck.

Personnally I would not split any of the parks. there is sooooo much to do in each and every one of them. If you take it slow, you will see so much more than the people who just rush through.

My daughter and her family told us that they did not like the ak and it only took them half a day to see it. They were joining us on our vacation and I told them we like the ak, so they were going to have to come with us. They said alright. We were there at opening, which of course they had not been there early and had not seen the opening with all the cm's with animals to touch just as you go through the gates. by 10.30 am they told us they had seen more in that amount of time than they had seen before. They were the rushing type of people. If it did not pop out as them they kept walking. Most of the parks and mostly the ak you have to look and explore. there is so mush to see and do at the ak it has always taken us a day and half to see it all. there are so many neat things to do. As many time as we have gone to WDW we find new things each and everytime.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi - Here's what I would do...

get to AK as soon as it opens and do what you want to do there, then in mid-afternoon or so head over to Epcot and focus on eith the world showcase part or the future world part.

The next day do the same plan with MGM - start early at MGM then head to Epcot and do whatever part you didn't do the day before.

Personally MGM is my least favorite of the Disney parks so I don't mind a 1/2 day there. Also, I love Epcot but prefer to spend most of the time in World Showcase section as opposed to Future World. AK is another enjoyable park but you can get it all done early on and still have time left for other parks.

Enjoy your trip!

:)

Hi NYDisneyFan,

Splitting the Magic Kingdom into two days will probably reduce the amount of time you spend waiting in line more than at any other park (depending on the attractions you want to see, of course).

Splitting Epcot into two days will probably reduce the amount of walking you do more than at any other park.

Sincerely,

Len Testa
