We will possibly have 1 day at a park in California...Which one should we go to?

Santa Monica...sorry..I meant which Disney park...lol

We were in CA in December and got 2 day park hopper passes. I don't know if they sell 1 day hoppers but you might want to check that out. Going between the parks is so easy and quick. However, if I had to choose I'd go with DL. DH enjoyed DCA quite a bit but DD only really liked Playhouse Disney. I didn't like DCA nearly as much as DL. We definitely spent more time in DL than DCA.

Take those little girls to DisneyLAND!

They are not currently (at least two weeks ago) offering the one day hopping option (unless maybe to CA residents), but be sure and check that out for your travel dates, as it makes a nice break when the crowds get thick at DL.

<font color=navy>Even for the CA residents they don't have the 1-day hopper.

I vote for Disneyland, too. Your little ones will love Fantasyland & Toontown - more to do there, plus they have different versions of Pirates & Haunted Mansion, and Tiki Room. There's a lot packed in the original Magic Kingdom. :)

For only one day, I would say DL too. In addition to what was mentioned above, the outlside of Its a Small World is great.

A small Castle too. :p :earboy2:

A small Castle too

That's more true than you'd think! I hadn't been to DL in about 10 years, and when I was there in April, I walked in, walked down Main Street, and couldn't find the castle!!

I knew I had gotten used to WDW, but not that used to it! Don't forget that DL also has the Matterhorn!

For your daughters without a doubt Disneyland. Some of my favorites different from WDW were Storybook Land Canal Boats (my entire family loved this collection of minatures!), Indiana Jones, Tarzan's Treehouse, and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln (the sound effects are amazing!).

I don't think you'll get any of us to say "CA Adventure"! As much as I like that new park, there's no way I wouldn't do Disneyland for a one-day trip!

And Dan - let's not forget that the castle is the original!

Well I gotta agree.. Disneyland!

Ive been to California Adventure only once and it fun..(there is nothing in the world like Soaring over California!!!!!!) but Disneyland has more stuff for the little kids.

In regard to the castle..I grew up going to DL, and when I first went to MK I about fell over when I saw how big the castle was....!

No question. Only one day? Do DisneyLAND. DCA is fun, but not worth doing over DL.

DISNEYLAND

You'll love it. Yes, the castle is small, but it has lots and lots of treasures to delight you. It's the park closest to my heart, even though I seem to be going to WDW more often these days. You will love: the Matterhorn, Fantasyland in general (Check out the facade on Small World---awesome), Toontown is great, Pirates is longer and better IMHO, the Tiki Birds is the original and Indy is great! And DL still has Mr. Toad's Wild ride! Pooh is located over in Critter Country, near Splash.

Are you sure you can't muster one more day? If you just have one day, you must see DL. Other than the castle
you will be impressed::yes::
