Which park has the WORST counter service choices?

I think we'd like to take our own little picnic for lunch one day but can't decide which park to do that for! We plan on eating breakfast in our room every day (except our departure day, when I have an ADR at Chef Mickey's).

I would consider making a lunchtime ADR at one of the parks, but I think I'd rather not...

EPCOT has Sunshine Seasons and anywhere in the WS
MK has Columbia Harbor House and Cosmic Ray's
AK has Flame Tree BBQ
DTD has Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck's Express

DHS, no question, has the worst CS choices. We usually have lunch at 50's PTC while in DHS. Sci-Fi is alright too. It's the only park where we make lunchtime ADR's out of lack of anything better to do.

If you really want to picnic, why not focus on where the best picnicy atmosphere- like Animal Kingdom.

DHS without a doubt. They need to wipe the slate clean of all restaurants there and start over.

I agree with OhThePain. Hollywood Studios has the worst dining offerings overall, and easily the worst counter service selections. Even though I think that all Disney counter service is largely the same, DHS manages a special level of inadequacy.

I think AK has the worst, either bad pizza, BBQ or the quick service chinese food in Asia.

I think the Chinese food is good, but we are tired of it and Pizza safari is awful.

I would agree with PP about DHS having the worst selection. At least AK has Restaurantosaurus (sp?), which has decent food. And Flame Tree BBQ gets good reviews, but I've never eaten there.

DHS - well I've purchased and tossed out 2 lunches there on my last 2 trips. The food is just not good, unless you want standard burger and fries, and even then the fries were eh. I know they're supposed to be the same fries as the other parks, but for some reason they just tasted funny.

Agree with all PP, DHS has the worst counter service food, hands down. We don't even try to eat there anymore, all of the food is so bad. We will just snack, and then eat at our resort. My 2nd choice for worst counter service food goes to AK. It was one of our favorite parks for counter service back when Tusker House was still a CS, but now it is only orange chicken, pizza, or BBQ as the CS options. Most days, we will eat lunch at our resort instead of dining at AK also.

I concur wholeheartedly with everyone that said DHS has the worst counter service. I really don't like their table services to.

When we go to Flame Tree, my girlfriend and I usually each order the BBQ chicken salad. The chicken is not really drenched in BBQ sauce and it is quite refreshing and not heavy, so you won't feel uncomfy all afternoon the way that some of the other choices may make you feel. Also, it shouldn't keep you from wanting to enjoy Sonny's at some other point in your trip.

I'd say the winner (or loser in this case!) would be DHS also. They just don't have that many good options. We usually end up at Pizza Planet (very average pizza) or Fairfax Fare (once again, average). We usually plan a dinner at a resort on that night and do a snack at Starring Rolls (YUM...cupcakes!) so that we don't have to eat much at DHS. As you can see, we also don't like the table service options.

I'm also not thrilled about the options at MK, but I don't mind Cosmic Rays. At least their are options!
I'm one of those that really enjoys Flame Tree BBQ at AK, and Sunshine Seasons at EP is awesome!!

DHS has the worst CS imho..So much so, that we completely avoid eating there at all and go over to Epcot.

I'll agree with DHS. Don't like the CS there much, so I usually eat lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby (which happens to be one of my favorite TS restaurants, so it works out).

Gotta tell ya ... the only CS I've ever been truly disappointed in in all of WDW was at the ABC Commissary. But I've found the Studio Catering Co. pretty good.

Our favorite CS is Wolfgang Express and Starring Rolls at DHS. Starring Rolls always gets overlooked, but my family LOVES their deli sandwiches and yummy desserts!

We like Pizza Planet in DHS, but that's about it.

We usually walk over to Epcot for lunch on DHS days, or pay OOP for 50's PTC.
