I'll be at WDW on Thanksgiving Day. I know all the parks will be crowded, but just wondering if anybody knows which park is my best bet. Will any of the parks be filling to capacity? (We've been at Easter and NYE when this happened at MK). Thanks!!!

Hey Jen~
we're going too!! We were there two years ago and did Epcot, then MK at night.... This year, we're doing MGM, then MK at night. We have a 2pm Thanksgiving Dinner PS at the Brown Derby.
I would imagine MK will be the most crowded, but who knows???

We will be there, too, for our first Thanksgiving trip. We are going to WL for ps for lunch and then carriage ride, check out resort Xmas decorations, and later at the MK Plaza restaurant for late dinner.

Is the MK still crowded in the evening? I have heard many posts warning about the crowds during Thanksgiving day, but I am hoping the crowds die down toward evening.....

Thanks!

I am betting on AK being the park of last resort for everyone else. I also have this fantasy that everyone will leave the aprk early afternoon to have their turkey and the park will not be a madhouse. Sure hope I am right!

That's what we are doing, too. We figure AK will be the least crowded of the four. Now, if everyone else will just pick the other three.......;)

I've heard that you definitely don't want to hit MK on Thanksgiving Day, but have never tried it myself. The last two years we were at MGM on Thanksgiving Day, and it was not unusually crowded. I also agree with AK. I'm planning another Thanksgiving Day at MGM with late lunch/early dinner at Cape May Buffet then back to MGM for the lights!!:)

We will be there too....I thought AK might be the best choice and we are having dinner at MGM and then seeing the Osborne Lights in the evening....:sunny:

We arrive on THanksgiving day about 10:30 and will check in and head over to MGM as well. We have a Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood & Vine at 5:50. Im hoping to catch the lights AFTER Fantasmic.

We went to Epcot 2 years ago on Thanksgiving. We had just arrived that day as well, and got to Epcot around 5. I was expecting mass mobs of people and when we walked in, there was not a SINGLE person in line for Spaceship earth!!!!! I was shocked. We had a not so good experience at Garden Grill that year, so we are going to try MGM. It had more turkey dinner choices, and also, Hollywood and Vine didnt charge more for the fantasmic dinner package!! We have MK planned for Friday, but with the hours extended to midnight, and addition of Spectro that night, we may just avoid MK until the Party on Sunday night. I originally thought that with no showing of Spectro on that Friday, the people who werent there on Thursday would wait until Saturday so they could see Spectro. Now that its been added to Friday.. I dont know what to do. I have multiple back up itineraries incase where we are is too crowded..lol

Looks like the state of Mass is emptying out and going to WDW for turkey day!!! We are eating at CM's around 5ish. I was going to avoid MK on Thanksgiving Day, but since we'll already be at the Contemporary and finishing dinner around 6:30, we may have to take a walk over to check it out. And it's open 'till midnight. Don't think I can pass that up. We can always sleep in on Friday. But, I'm sure it will be pretty crowded.

I would think that AK would be the least crowded, then Epcot and then MGM. HOpe you have a terrific time!!! Don't forget to have some Dis green on you someplace!!! I'm hoping to see and meet a lot of you guys!!

Hey Goofy4Tink
Look for me.... I have a green backpack and I'm headed to Home Depot to get some Mickey ears..... plus I'll be sporting my Pooh Christmas Hat if it's not too hot. Long Range for Accuweather.com shows every day in the mid-high 70's. oooohh, I'll take that!!!

:earseek: We're splitting Turkey Day between MGM and Epcot (2nd stop at each park this trip). We have a 2 p.m. PS at Garden Grill!! :earsgirl: :earsboy:
