which park for first day?

:wave: sharon
no we didn't we were quite overwelmed by it all on our first trip and our youngest son was a lot younger then and was even more picky than he is now so we ate a lot of our meals around him

i'm not sure i'd like to eat at boma's me and my youngest son are very picky eaters and i'm not sure i'd like anything there:D

i really want to do crystal palace breakfast but dh and the boys think they are too cool to do this(they are not disney nuts):crazy: that is why i opted for the ice-cream social because my boys love ice-cream and so they didn't mind this place::yes:: and as for breakfast with the princess's well let's just say they think i have lost the plot:cloud9:

i forgot to add the plaza in MK to my list and i'm also thinking of doing the grand floridian tea because i really want to order the glass slipper and the dog bones for the boys::yes:: and to do this you have to be eating somewhere in the GF and like i said before the boys are not keen on character meals and this would (i think)be my only other option

you have also picked some good places:D i see on another thread that you are looking at race rock on i-drive,my youngest loves grand prix racing so i thought this would be a good place to take him
looks like i'll be adding more to my list on the dining thread:tongue:

could someone please tell me how to get to the dining board i would like some opinions on my choices.

thanks lucy

If we arrive mid afternoon then we usually go shopping and get used to just being in Florida. Our first full park day is always Magic Kingdom.

Hi Lucy
Check out Disney Restaurants on the DISboards or go to All ears net, Debs site it has all menu listings it's also another really good site to look around on.

I think we are hoping to do Seaworld (though a couple of the party want to go shopping - nutters)

According to SimonVs book, its a quiet day and I think it will ease us in gently - its also one of the parks on the flexi ticket where we can visit as much as possible, so if its too much for us, we can just leave and come back another day. I think this will be better than wasting a day on our 5 day hopper to Disney if we are too tired or the heat is too much for us.

Its our first trip so I think this will be a sensible option.

Thanks

hi all:wave:

thank you all for sharing with me what you do on your first day at the world:D

i myself did not know where to spent our first day i have done alot of two-ing and throwing but i have now made my decision(well for the first half of the day anyway)::yes::

i am going to be spending our first morning at magic kingdom:teeth: and i have made a ps for 8.10 @ crystal palace because i was informed that you can't beat walking down an empty main street on the way::yes:: then we will head back to our room for a rest or even a swim,all i have to do now is plan something for the evening just for a couple of hour's anyone got any ideas?
then an early night ready for our next day:teeth:

thanks again eve::MinnieMo

How about Downtown Disney, shops are open till 11.00pm:earseek: I can't remember how old you said your DS's were but if their interested you can get their Guest of Honor badges from the Christmas Shop to wear for the rest of the holiday.Maybe have one of those yummy Sundae's that everyone talks about from the Ghirardelli soda fountain & choc shop MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.(can't wait to try one of those for myself i loooovvveee chocolate)
Or how about the Boardwalk apparently it's a nice place to have a stroll around in the evening.

hi sharon:wave:

my 2 boys are 12 and 8 my eldest has one of the badges from our last trip, the boardwalk sounds a good idea we didn't get to go here on our last trip(well to be honest i thought that it was a resort not entertainment:rolleyes: )i cant wait to try one of those sundae's at ghirardelli::yes::
it's so hard to try and plan when there is just so much to do and see:D

thanks for your help eve::MinnieMo
