My sister has been in Tampa for 5 yrs now and has only gone to Epcot for flower & garden show (no rides), MK on New Years Eve (major crowds she hated it). Last year I started to try and convert her by taking her to MGM with us which went great. Now I'm going again and am wondering which other park would be best for her to join us at. She's thinking AK since she's never been to that one but I would put that last on the list to try and convert her. Which one would you take her to MK, Epcot or AK?

Thanks, Calie

I'll vote for Animal Kingdom.

If "thrill-rides" are not desired...

Safari is very impressive.

Festival of the Lion King is spectacular.

Both animal "walking trails" are terrific.

Don't miss "Flights of Wonder" (an often over-looked, but very well-done show.)

Its Tough to Be a Bug is not a ride, but a FUN (and surprising) 3D movie (and much more.)

And the Oasis and all the atmosphere in general makes this a unique park.

Another vote for the Animal Kingdom. For a non-Disney person this park is perfect. You may also want to go and visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge or some of the other WDW resorts.

Spend time in World Showcase, do a meal in one of the countries she would enjoy, like if she really likes Italian go to Alfredos, explore the shops and try to catch some of the street entertainers in Italy and France, the acrobats in China, the Band in the UK that does the Beatles tunes and there are others too. Also World Showcase is a short walk from the Boardwalk. In future world don't miss Spaceship Earth and The Land, the boat ride and Sorin'.
They main thing for you to do is go during off season, Sep.-Jan. (except during the Holidays) she will enjoy it more with less crowds. Try during the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot thats in the fall sometime, they crowds will be up slightly for the fest. but the food and wine makes up for that. :)

A CM friend of mine asked me this weekend if I wanted to go with him to a park so that we could take a friend of his who had never been to a Disney park. We chose MGM.

When we first met his friend, he said "I doubt I'll ever come back to a Disney park if it's not for free like today" (since my friend just signed him in.)

We started the day at MGM and rode ToT, RnR, GMR, Muppets, ate at Mama Melrose’s, we then took him to Epcot where we rode MS, TT, walked the countries and did some shopping.

We then returned to MGM for Fantasmic.

On the way out he got a call from a friend and he started talking about all the cool stuff he had done and describing everything in detail. He had this huge smile on his face and you could look at him and see that he finally "got it".

Anyother convert? Probably!

If she has never been to MK then how does she know she won't like it? What a shame to be that close and miss out on the most magical place on earth. I hope you are able to get her see what she has been missing all these years. I also think that AK would be your next best place to go. For myself my least fav. is MGM even though I love TOT and RNRC. Now that I've gotten older my taste has changed over the years, I love just walking around the world.

I would take her back to MK since the only time she was there was New Years Eve with mega crowds. If she can't find Magic :wizard: there and be converted to a Disney lover....I don't think there is hope!
