Okay, I am planning another trip to Walt Disney World. We will most like to attend on Christmas Day.

My question to you is simple: Which park would you suggest we attend on Christmas? We do not care about the crowds because we are already use to it, from attending the summer seasons. We would like to know which park has the best Christmas setting, if you know what I mean.

Pictures and Comments are Welcome!

Thanks, :cool1:

We love Epcot. The decorations are great, and carry through the park very nicely. The Lights of Winter walkway and the special Illuminations ending are great.

I've never been there at Christmas, but I'd imagine MK would be the most popular choice and might be the most "festive". I'd probably choose that, but I'd also be interested in seeing how Epcot WS does Christmas.

There's no more magic on Christmas than in the Magic Kingdom, but that's what half the world thinks. More crowded than any other day of the year.

We did it. . . once.

I have to say after also attending summer and Christmas the two are not the same. Christmas Day is freakin' nuts!!!! We did that once, and never again. Last Christmas trip we stayed at the resort and enjoyed the day away from the parks. If you must be in a park on Christmas Day, go early. MK will close due to capacity early.

Hell, I would say either MK or Epcot. But I choose Epcot because of The Lands.

When we went at New Years we went to the studios. We enjoyed because of the lights and less crowds than MK. I think MK closed early most days that week.

I would give Magic Kingdom a slight edge over EPCOT, especially if you've never been to a disney park on christmas day there's nothing like MK with all the christmas festivities.EPCOT would also be good with the candlelight processional and other activities. However whatever park you go to you have to go mentality that you're not going there to ride as the place will be a total madhouse.

We went to the Magic Kingdom last Christmas either right around lunch time or just after. The park itself was insanely crowded, but EVERY ride we rode was at the most a 20 minute wait! And we rode them all! We could not figure out what was going on. The crowds outside were so bad that it was hard to walk around, but nobody was riding. We rode so much that day that we didn't even bother to do the EMH nights (which went from 1230 am to 330 am).

I love the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT at Christmas. But the one thing that can't be believed is the ending of Illuminations!! You just have to see the ending....

The magic kingdom is probably the most magical spot on Christmas day...but I hate to tell ya that about 50 million other people will have the same idea as you. It was SO packed on Christmas day 05' that we literally could not move an inch during holiday WISHES. If you took one half of a step, you were on someone's feet or in someone's stroller. During the day was packed too, waited 45 minutes for a funnel cake and couldn't hardly find a spot in pinnocchio's village haus. People were just standing with their trays of food looking around because there was not single seat. It rained in the morning and everything was closed down completely for about an hour, that is why everyone stormed the restaurants for something to eat. It was a mess, actually. The whole family agreed that if we ever go at Christmastime again we would have our last day be the 24th and drive home Christmas day. It was THAT crowded. I have never seen anything like it. :sad2:

We did MK twice - and never again. The crowds are just too much. Epcot has the Candlelight Processional, we have a nice Christmas dinner at the Rose & Crown, and a walk under the arches to Carol of the Bells is a perfect capper to the day.

I vote for Epcot! I love Epcot at Christmas time. I always think that it seems less busy at Epcot because it is so spread out. I love the special ending to Illuminations, the candlelight processional, the christmas stories from around the world. Magic Kingdom just seems like the Magic Kingdom to me still. I love Epcot

I chose Epcot. Last year we ate Christmas Eve dinner at LTT in the MK & watched Wishes before returning to our room to wait for Santa. The next morning we spent around the resort & drove to the Contemporary for church. In the afternoon we went to Epcot for the CP & dinner afterwards in Japan. As we were leaving Japan the special Illuminations was just starting. It was a magical time!

Although I voted for MK, I'd rate Epcot very high. The nice thing about Epcot's decorations is that you get a chance to see what customs are like in the different countries.

I was at WDW last year during Christmas, and we split the day between Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Between the two I would say go with Epcot because the crowds are way less than Magic Kingdom. It was so crowded at MK!! The parade is no different that day so go enjoy a more peaceful Christams at Epcot, which has way way better place to eat. Although I think if I ever go again I would park hop to MGM at night. I found the Osbourne lights to be soooo amazing! With the lights, the fake snow, and the music theres nothing more Christmasy.
