Which Pandora Ride to FP?

I think it's a tossup. Do one right at rope drop and one FP. Or, two days in AK, one FP each day. That's my plan.

Others have shared that because complete families can ride Nav'i River Journey, the Standby lines will be longer than for Flight of Passage.

So, the discussion has been on FP for NRJ and rope drop for FoP.

Completely agree. The height requirement for Flight is a game changer.

We will all ride River. I'm not confident DS1 will be able to ride Passage so likely DS2 will ride it rope drop and let us know if we should try to come back for it.

Both attractions will have more demand that capacity for the foreseeable future. So the issue will become which ride are people willing to wait longer in line to experience. I'm going with Flight having a more dedicated following than the river ride so I expect it to have longer wait times on average.

Sorry to jump in, but I'm wondering how long lines will be during May 27-July 4 during the Pandora only EMH? I'm thinking of getting a fastpass for the river journey, then standby for the other around 11pm. I'm hoping there isn't a long line!

They'll be horrendously long. Guests will wait to ride these two rides and when they allow any guest to enter the line prior to park closing, the lines will be long for the beginning of the EMH period.

Remember when Anna and Elsa were meeting in Norway? Families waited in a 5-hour long line to talk to two characters.

Unless something with the capacity of these two is unusual, usually the flat-bottom-boat rides load far more people per hour than anything that loads in cycles. So for that reason I would say Flight.

:scared:

I dont think the height requirement will be the deal maker/breaker between the two. Its going to come down to capacity in my opinion. Mine Train has a height requirement, Toy Story doesnt. Toy Story standby got MUCH better when capacity increased.

Both attractions will be insanely popular and the River Journey looks to have bigger capacity so Im leaning towards standby for that one if you have to choose.

I really don't think it will have bigger capacity. I think Flight of Passage will. Four soarin type theaters. Navi River Journey will be 4-5 minutes and have 8 people per boat.

My gut tells me that Flight of Passage is going to have the longer lines, but I'm certainly not sure of that. Luckily for me, I don't make FP+ selections until June, so I can see how things are working out before I make my decision.

i have allowed 2 days at AK so I will be able to get FP for both of them, when I can book them, I am seeing advantages of long lines on these as other popular rides will have shorter wait times.

I just changed my itinerary to hop over to AK one day specifically so I could get a fastpass for one of the rides and then have a full day at AK planned and will get the other new Pandora ride there. I just couldn't imagine waiting in either line standby right now. It's going to be insane to get there even at rope drop for the first year.

Second day of my trip will be the grand opening so I'm pessimistic of even getting a Fp at the 60 day mark. Will be going again later in the trip so at least I can get it then. Most interested in the flight ride.

FP opens soon I am hoping to get at lest one for one ride on opening day as I really only have one day. I have to leave the next day no latter then 11 so I might try to FP the other ride Sunday morning but unless I can get a FP for before 10 I may not try it.

Has it been announced that there will be FP tiers and thus only one can be ridden with the initial FP trio each day?
