which package or discount for weekend DLH trip with APs?

We have a weekend trip scheduled for January at the disneyland hotel. We will have APs by that time and I was hoping for a better AP room discount. All I see is Sun-Thurs packages and Costco's Gift Card offer ($90 for 2 nights).

What options are there or have I missed any?

Do APs get 10% off all the time on standard rooms?

The costco package comes with park hoppers. I haven't bought my AP yet and will be going in December. Could I feasibly use these tickets during my december trip and upgrade them to APs?

Can't help with the rest, but this is a no.

We had APs for the first time last year and we did not get even 10%. We booked part of our stay on either Cheap Tickets or Orbitz and paid full price for one or two nights that weren't included in any discount.

There are not always 10% off rooms. From what I've seen as an AP holder this year, they tend to offer 20 - 25% off Sunday - Thursday and no discounts on weekends. They are limited in how many rooms they sell as I've check with my AP and also without and have often found the same pricing. I am assuming they already sold out of the AP discounted rooms when that happens.

Yes, you can use your tickets and upgrade to an AP before they expire (on the last day valid).

I booked this with my AP on October 26th, the first day of the new promotion. Sunday through Thursday has the best rates on rooms.
