Which option should I do about my annual pass renewal

Right now my Fiance (still super new using this word makes me smile) and I have silver pass annual passes that will expire in May on my birthday. I'm trying to figure out what I should do for our next annual pass.

We have plans to go to Disney for New Years eve next year so we will need to upgrade to the premium pass (I think that's what it's called) and it's a lot more expensive than the one we have now. We don't have plans on going in the park until November when we are having our wedding at Disney so basically six months won't be used if I renew my pass. Is the discount enough to make this worth it? Or should I let the passes expire and then buy new ones to activate in November? I kind of like this option better because all the new stuff is coming out in 2019 and we'll have a full year to experience it that way. But I want to make the smartest move money wise since I'll be spending a lot on the wedding and honeymoon.

What do you think?

I guess you need to figure out for your number of park days between your November trip and your NYE trip to see if it makes sense to essentially get the pass for only those trips (assuming that you might not get back there before your pass expires in May). I agree with your thought process that with all the new things coming in 2019 you will likely make a trip some time that year, so with that waiting to renew until November probably makes more sense because then you can get a 3rd trip out of that AP.
