We don't have a lot of points, so we'll probably stay in studios most of the time. I've only stayed at OKW, in a studio, and was curious which DVC at WDW was your favorite for studio stays.
Maybe room size doesn't affect your choice and it's all about the resort.

You can make multiple choices.

I apologize if this has already been asked; I didn't do a search.

Thanks for your input!

We stay in studios mostly, and have used studios at OKW, VWL, BCV, SSR and have ressies for BWV. Truly, they all fit the bill for us at different times, and we have enjoyed every stay.

For us it is about the time of year, and what we have planned to do. OKW was for our laid back trip (we went to a water park and a MNSSHP and loved the quiet pools), SSR at Christmas before our Grand Gathering we enjoyed DTD, BCV for F&G and SAB, VWL fo Christmas decorations, and BWV for the atmosphere and lesser points and it's where we'll be for F&W.

For DH and I, we do prefer the ones with a sofa and bed, but that wouldn't stop us from staying at OKW again.

We fix coffee and have breakfast cereal, some light lunches, mostly sandwiches and fruit salads. Even when we had a full kitchen, those were the things that we fixed even though we had the range, etc.

I haven't voted, don't know how, I would want to vote for all of them.

They're all the same to me, EXCEPT for OKW. I don't like the 2-bed set-up. DH and I like to sit on the sofa. I would like to try OKW, but wish they would have some bed/sofabed units available in addition to the 2 bed units. Maybe we'll try OKW when we need a 1BR or 2 BR.

Right now, they're all the same to me. Since it's just DW and I, a studio is a studio. goofy4dvc makes a good point, though: it's nice to have the extra room when we only need one bed.

We've stayed in studios at VWL, BCV and OKW. I really, really like the space at OKW! The rooms are considerably larger than the others. I also like the bigger patio and the nice views. VWL had a small patio and there was nothing to look at. BCV we had an awesome view but could barely fit two chairs on the patio. Like a previous poster said however, OKW has two beds and no sofa. The others have one bed and a pull-out sofa.

Thanks, everyone! I like hearing the reasons for your choices.

If we stay in a studio we prefer OKW as we like the 2 bed set up ;)

I've only stayed in the OKW studio unit. The two beds sure came in handy!
I don't mind sleeping on sofabeds, myself, so the other units wouldn't bother me personally on that score. GUess it is a matter of how many people (then you might need more room/beds), if you are a view person or not, what kind of vaca trip you have in mind etc.

IDEA FAIRY:
If I were Disney's 'interior designer of the year'...I'd make one of the beds in OKW studio a murphy wall bed...think of all that space in that unit!!! I love wall beds...very comfy and handy. There was a condo/hotel in Maui that had a wall bed in the raised floor area that had a dining table (koa wood and koa flooring). So practical and made the unit feel spacious to boot. There was another but regular queen bed in the unit, plus a sofa/TV lounging area. WOW

Since most people hate sofa beds, Imagineers could design the murphywall unit to even work in the other resort studios, maybe behind a loveseat that could be easily slide to the side when the bed was in use.

Oh well, I am not likely to become Disney's new designer any day soon! :rotfl2:

When we stay, in a studio is just the 2 of us., so we want 1 bed and an sitting area. All DVC resorts, except OKW, meet our needs.

We've stayed at OKW, BCV & BWV, and our preference is the set up with the couch bed. We like to have a place to sit, so we fold up the couch bed each morning and with just one child, it's perfect for us.

Right now with our family of 5 (littlest one is not yet a year old) we'd prefer OKW because of the two beds. We usually end up girls in one bed, boys in the other and neither dh or I like sleeping on a fold out. This is changing as our middle child gets older, but soon enough we won't fit in the studio at all. When dh and I are able to travel without children we'll most likely prefer the studios with the sofa and bed. I do like how they did the kitchenette area at BCV...and I suppose its similar at SSR. I guess I'd have to say that for now BCV has my favorite studios...but I change my mind a lot.

Oops. I didn't notice it was a multiple choice poll until I already voted. Oh well. I like the studios with the queen beds and the pull out couch. It provides more room when you're not sleeping. I voted for BWV because I really like the studios with the additional day bed. I also like the BCV studios because the connecting door to the 1 BR is up front near the entrance which provides more wall space. I assume that SSR has the same layout.

I think the OKW studios are too much like regular hotel rooms, plus the views are usually lousy, lost in vegetation with the a/c units right outside your porch.

So far we have stayed in studios at VWL and SSR.
VWL has more storage but it loses points (from my boys) because the sofa bed was not as comfortable as the one at SSR which they loved!

So I voted for SSR.

We are staying in a studio at BCV in May (last year we were in a 2 bdr) so that may change.
