For a party of 13 to start, and possibly 15-17 for Thanksgiving if family in Orlando join us.

This is my current plan but I’m wondering if I should rearrange anything...

11/27- arrive around 10 am. MK for FP and early dinner. Crystal Palace

11/28 Thanksgiving Epcot, early dinner Biergarten

11/29 AK. CM or 1900 PF dinner

11/30 HS. Sci Fi lunch. (I know the cars seat 6, so I assume we’d be spread out in multiple cars)

12/1 Epcot tbd

12/2 MK. Breakfast or lunch at BOG. Dinner at CRT. (Glad to have my TA book this adr since 3 rooms are on the DP and two are oop).

12/3 HS Hollywood and Vine dinner or whatever the food is at SWL.

12/4 AK. CS lunch. Depart in the afternoon.

Thank you!

I don't know which will be hardest to get. You should make the ADR for the maximum number of people you might have, it will be much easier than adding people later. Also, just so you know, they cannot and will not guarantee that you will be seated at the same table. They will do their best.

Thanks. I know we aren’t guaranteed to be together. But I know places like BOG are harder to get so I was trying to plan the harder to get adrs towards the end.

Why not have your travel agent just book all the dining? I mean that is what you are using them for. Party of 13 is a huge number. Beirgarten should be the easiest. I have a hard enough time finding normal eating times for a party of 8, can't imagine with higher numbers. I wish you luck, as a group that large will be tough to please!

Looking at your list, I wasn't able to get Sci-Fi for a part of 4 for our trip last June. I started looking about 100 days out, to be fair, but I even set up an alert from Touring Plans and nothing ever showed up. If you decide on CM, that will probably be tough too.

Planned a trip for 11. The only ADR I had to split was Beaches and Cream and that’s because I booked it a couple of months after 180 days. From your list I booked Sci-Fi and BOG no problem at 180. I also managed a lunch Crystal Palace for 11 1 day before the ADR. I was also able to grab Brown Derby day of. I also had Tusker House, Akershus, Les Chefs and a few others booked at 180. They were able to seat us all together at all restaurants. Even at beaches and cream we had 3 tables right next to each other.

Good luck, great choices and I really think you ll be pleasantly surprised getting your choices.
Enjoy... group trips are AWEsome!

I like doing the planning. I’ve always done my own trips.

Looking at your list, personal experience and based upon what others have mentioned here (because I've never been to CRT), I'd say CRT or BOG will be your hardest.

I've planned for a party of 11 many times~ big family trips. We have always gotten the ADRs we want- we start the SECOND the ADRs open up and have two computers going while on the cell phones with one another~ lol. We pick our two hardest reservations (CRT and BOG) and one gets one of those while the other person gets the second one~ that way we can make each of those as soon as it opens. Under separate MDEs of course but we are all linked to each other's reservations so it shows up for each of us. You are wise to have BOG towards the end of the trip~ we use this same strategy and it is always our last night dinner~ having it at the end definitely helps.
If you are on the computer right when the clock turns over and try to get BOG and CRT first~ I think you should be fine. After those two- I think I'd try for then Thanksgiving Day meal just to ensure you get that.
Good luck! I think you will be fine~ and I'm like you~ I love doing the planning myself.

We go with a party of 11 every year and in our experience Sci-fi will be your hardest. I would book in the following order.

Sci-fi
CRT
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickeys
BOG (if doing breakfast we've always found it pretty easy to get, if your doing lunch I'd book this one in between CRT and Crystal Palace)
Hollywood and Vine
Biergarten
Also, if you can't get for 13, try 14 and then work your way down. Once you get the adr for whatever number of ppl., log into a different MDE account and try again for the remaining number of guests.

Eta: As someone else mentioned you can do the above for all but CRT - since that's prepay, you definitely don't want to make a reservation and pay for an extra person. The others won't matter.

Only necessary for the prepaid CRT. Everywhere else, you can keep the 14.

And that’s why I’m leaving CRT in the hands of my TA. That’s too complicated. :)

There’s 10 in our party and I did pretty well getting all the adrs I wanted for our June trip,(jungle nav, tusker, Bama, ohanas, Biergarten, 1900). A few I had to split up and get 2 reservations of 5 (Sci Fi, Mama Melrose and garden grill being the other). Good luck!

Are you planning on 13 or 17? You won't be able to add three if the local family decide to join you when you booked that dinner for 13 and now you have 17. Book them all for 17 if you think you'll possibly have 17 at any of them.

I’ll be booking all 17 at Thanksgiving. Hopefully by my ADR date I’ll know what their plans are but better be safe than sorry. :) Probably should add them to the 11/29 dinner too since it’s at a resort and they could meet us...
