Which them park should we go to on the first day, on our first trip to WDW?

The MAGIC KINGDOM!!!! MK is where DL and WDW started... our family always starts our trip off at MK!!! The other parks are great, but MK is what WDW is all about!!!

How many days should we go there. I heard it takes at least 2 days to get through the hole MK.

I'd say go for one, then if you have the extra time go back later in the week... This is what my FH & I will be doing on our honeymoon. Try and find out if there are EMHs for the day you are going as well...

Check out www.wdwinfo.com for info on EMH (Extra Magic Hours).

I think that depends on you... My sister (15) and I can do everything we enjoy in the park... and it only takes us about 4 hours in the morning...
Since this is your first trip... I would plan at least two days!!! It also depends on many people in your group, ages of those in your group, how many days you have in the parks and how soon you think you may be able to get back to WDW!!!

I would say if you have kids to save MK for last. Nothing will compare to it in thier eyes

It has to be the Magic Kingdom. On my first trip, at age 28 mind you, MK was our first park. When I got off the bus from our resort and walked through the gates I think I had a look of awe on my face. I was with people who have been numerous times and they said I was like a little kid. I was looking around in wonderment and awe the whole time walking up Main Street. There is nothing else like it. Except maybe this summer when my DW and I visit Disneyland for the first time!

To me the kids don't think they are WDW until we go to the Magic Kingdom. Our 3 year old had the best quote this past year. They had done 2 days at Magic Kingdom ( I was in Orlando on business) and I met them one evening at MGM for dinner. That is all we did, walk in, eat at SciFi and then leave. On the way out Trevor (3yo) says "That was a stinky Disney World" and when I asked him why he let me know because there were no rides. They went back the next day, and to this day when referring to the Star Wars ride, he refers to it as being in stinky Disney World.
