For our DD should we bring a rain coat or rain poncho?? DH and I have a couple of the emergency poncho's, but I know they will all be to big for her. I doubt we will bring a stroller. We go to BG often and she never needs it.

If you are going in late Spring, Summer or early Fall (heavy rains in September with tropical weather), a rain poncho is a good choice. You can purchase smaller sizes @ Walmart Supercenter and a few Dollar or Family Dollar stores. Rain coat is a little heavy for the warmer months and they get stickie with the humidity.

However, during late Fall and Winter, I would suggest a rain coat since it will be cooler and the added insulation is a great addition. Something with a hood would be a plus too. Really nice rain coats for children at Lands End (sold in some Sears stores also).

I know I've seen rain covers for strollers too somewhere--just can't remember where.

We have packable rain coats but also disney ponchos. They are heavier than normal ponchos and our kids prefer having their legs partially covered too when it rains.

Neither of my boys liked ponchos when they were little. We took their kid size rain coats from home. We also learned that wearing a baseball style cap under the hood helped re-direct the rain away from the face a bit more. We also took crocs for rainy days.
