My wife and I are going to universal in Sept. We are without children and in our 40's. We want to stay at either the HRH or PBH. which do the experts think is best?

I have only stayed at RPR, but I can honestly say that if my husband and I were going alone (we are in our mid 30's) we would stay at Portofino. It is very beautiful and I think is geared more towards adults. Have a wonderful trip.

Thanks...you response helped a lot. Just not sold on the rooms. They look better at thr HRH. But then again, these are only pics. How do you get one of those count-down thingies lol?

Go To www.tickerfactory.com and you can make one there. It is easy. Once you finish they will give you a link. Use the URL link and paste it to your signature here. There it is!!

i should get a discount the way i push hrh on these threads......

if you prefer more down time at the hotel, stay at pbh.
the rooms are bigger than the other two hotels.
some rooms have balconies. the place is beautiful at night all lit up.

more food choices at pbh than at hrh.

if you are a park type person and love the rides and attractions, stay at hrh.
you get a gorgeous view of the parks at night/studio that is (depending on your room location)
hrh has the shortest walk to the parks and a short walk or boat ride to city walk.

the pbh is more leisurely. the hrh is fun filled. great pool, nice cabanas...

i go solo and stay at hrh the most. have been to all three but would have to say the pbh is just as great. my priority is proximity to the parks.

Thank you huge! That certainly helped alot. I htink we are now sold on staying at the PBH

if you like pools, just to give you a heads up that universal encourages you to "pool hop" between the hotels.

if you stay at pbh, you can go to rph pool and play there.
each pool has its own ambience.

hrh has underwater speakers.
pbh has it all
rph has the sand beach theme.

all the hotels have dive in movie night once a week.
you can be in the pool and a screen is at one end of the pool showing a movie.
it was at one time on fridays but i read on line here that it might have been switched to saturdays.

if you like leisure time at the pool, you might enjoy dive in movie nights.
