Hey, everyone!!!

Looking for a nice restaurant with a romantic, special setting. It will be our 2nd Anniversary, and our first trip to WDW together. :lovestruc

I believe I have it narrowed down to three, but am lost, and need some help from anyone who is willing to lend some advice. :teacher:

So far, I have on my list....

1. Citricos - how is the food here? Can you see the fireworks from here? What is the restaurant setting like?

2. Victoria and Albert's - I have heard so many wonderful things regarding this restaurant, but not sure if I could get a better meal for my buck. Is this place really just absolutely spectacularly (is this a word?) amazing???

3. Yachtsman Steakhouse - my DH absolutely loves steak, and I like seafood. I looked at the menu for this place, and it sounded really good, but the setting doesn't look too romantic to me. But after dinner, we could always stroll over to EPCOT for dessert and watch Illuminations, which to us would be the perfect ending to our Anniversary day. :love2:

I just don't know....too many awesome places that it's hard to narrow it down to one. :scratchin

Thanks!!!

What about Cailfornia Grill check out there menu. not to add to you choices, but I think that is a great choice. you can get a great view. & wonderful food.

I voted for Yachtmans. We are getting a night out in WDW for our anniversary next July(my mother is coming on the trip and will watch the kids that night). As of now thats one of our final 2 choices (Palios is the other). While I think you are right about the restaurant itself not being too "romantic", the menu looks great to us and anything will be nice without the kids along, LOL! And like you said, a trip to Epcot for Illuminations after would be great.
Good luck deciding. I know it is hard.

I voted for YS...because DH likes steak, and they serve excellent steak, and because after the meal, you guys can walk over to the BW, and have have some fun over at Atlantic Dance or Jelly Rolls.

While we enjoy all three, voting for V&A was a slam dunk for me. It is a very special meal and the setting is very intimate and romantic. The food is fantastic and so is the service.

my son and dil have and they are going back this trip..we have eaten at the YCS and you are right it is not romactic at the least and we ate there on our anniv..our son said the food was out of this world and the price was too but as this is YOUR 2nd anniv it would be truly romantic for you two..you have to get dressed up a little, man jacket, woman nice pants suit or dress..they give you your menu with your name on it and a rose for your wife..when they came back to the room (as we were babysitting) they had stars in their eyes and smiles out to THEREEEEEEEEEEEE..for romance I have to say V&A if you can afford it..the California Grill is also another place I haven't eaten at but my frind always eats there and LOVES IT..SAYS ITS THE BEST ON PROPERTY..the menu looks alittle too much for my tatse but V&A seems to have a good array of food to chose from..have fun and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY..Marianne

First-you really can't "see" the fireworks from Citrico's except from a few tables, and even there the view isn't Grade A. It really isn't like California Grill and Narcoosee's for fireworks viewing purposes.
V&A (for which I voted) is simply the best restaurant, but it is $$$$ and you do need to dress up.
It sounds from your post tho that you are leaning toward YSH. IF so, it is a fine choice!!

Thanks everyone for your replies!! Great stuff....so now I am put in a tough predicament. :scratchin

Do I choose the nice, romantic restaurant in GF (V&A). Or do I choose the less romantic Yachtsman Steakhouse and have the opportunity to enjoy Epcot after dinner??? Hmmm.....

I appreciate all your assistance!!! :cutie:

Have a Happy Halloween!!! :scared1:

I vote for the California Grill. The wine room with just a few tables is romantic with a view of fireworks from MGM or Epcot. The food is to die for. My family liked it better than V&A's. The other choices are all good. You really can go wrong. I know what ever you choose it will be excellent. Have a wonderful time.

Once before while staying at BC we went for an Illuminations cruise on the Breathless. It's awesome and you get a private viewing location. You can even setup for champagne to be brought along. So I say that you go for the YSH and Breathless cruise, now that would be magical!

We were in WDW just last week and we had a 7:00 dinner reservation at Citrico's. Much to my surprise we had wonderful seats for the new firewoks at the Magic Kingdom. Very romantic.
