Which One Would You Choose?

I am trying to decide between Ohana or Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. Our party consists of two adults and three children ages 14, 13, and 7.

Which one would you chose and why?

Liberty Tree! Why? We hated Ohana - the service and the food - went twice. The kids might like it but I would still choose Liberty Tree.

Definitely Ohana. We loved the food, the atmosphere and we were lucky enough to see MK's fireworks from our table (very cool).

We were not fans of Liberty Tree Tavern at all. The atmosphere and food were boring. I don't care for the colonial theme.

Hands down O'Hana! The atmosphere, food, entertainment....this is our family FAVORITE!

We loved the atmosphere at Ohana, never been to Liberty Tree, didn't like the look of the menu.

of all our party...children, teens, adults, grandma
It is one of the 3 they insisted we eat at again this time!
Great food overall. One of the 3 best desserts we had.
And the Poly is so beautiful!

Not a huge fan of either one. Since your are considering LTT I am assuming you plan to be in the MK that day. So the first consideration I would be making is do I want to take the time to travel out of the park in relation to your plans and park hours on that day.

If leaving the park is no big deal, then I would be chosing Ohana. It has something of an atmosphere, we sat by cooking area which was nice but I would have loved being by window as well. I think next time I would ask to sit away from the "childrens' games" just because my kids are older and we would prefer that. Food was good, just was alittle hard to get more of the meats without flagging server down. I am not a huge carnivore, and that truly is the focus of the meal here, but my guys loved it.

I always avoided LTT just because of the mindset I had with "stouffers" macaroni. I don't pay that much for frozen mac & cheese. But we tried it. The mac & cheese was not edible. The meal was basic T-Day fare, the tables so close together we were constantly being bumped and we could hear everyone's conversations. For the price, no I won't go back. And as far as decor, I think the upstairs at the Columbia Harbour House (counter service) is decorated much nicer in the Colonial mode.

It looks like people are pretty much split about this one. Personally, DH and I didn't enjoy the food at LTT (with the exception of the salad!). I enjoyed the atmosphere, but I won't be going back.

Haven't been to WDW, but we chose Ohana. The reviews seem better overall and Ohana seems more unusual/different compared to what we can find at home. We've been to Brazilian steakhouses and enjoy those a lot. We think Ohana will be similar, but more Asian flavors. I had an ADR booked for Liberty Tree as well, but canceled because the food looks a lot like what you would get at Perkins or Bob Evans or one of those type places. The clincher for me was finding out that it is sponsored by Stouffers. I'm 99% sure I can make better Turkey, stuffing (no stove top in our house!), mashed potatoes etc. at home and we are not fans of frozen mac and cheese. I guess it depends on how much you want to go out on a limb. I am sure Liberty Tree is fine (it looks like picky eaters would definitely find something), but the menu doesn't look too exciting to us. We'd rather try something different from what we could get somewhere else.

I don't like 'Ohana all that much, but I would choose to go there, I think. The salad was really good and the meat was certainly edible (though I found the shrimp overcooked).

I'm not really big on Turkey & stuffing (even at Thanksgiving), so LTT isn't all that interesting to me.

Ohana. That is my choice. We haven't been to LTT but as another poster said didn't like the looks of the menu nor the fact of Stouffers Mac and cheese.

'Ohana gets my vote!:thumbsup2

We've been to LTT several times & 'Ohana more times than I can count. It's one of our favorite places. Last time for dinner, we were seated right at the window & had a clear view of Wishes during our dessert.:yay:
