Which one would you choose?

For lunch? We have Sci Fi booked for lunch now but the recent reviews have me a bit nervous

We are staying at the BWI for the last leg of our trip and we will be at HS that morning.

We have not eaten at Sci Fi, ESPN or Big River Grill but have been to Beaches and Cream twice.

So which would you pick and why?

Come on people give me the good, bad and they ugly!

We love ESPN Club, but it's more for the drinks/atmosphere than just the food, at least as far as lunch is concerned. It's regular 'bar' food, good wings and nachos, but personally I couldn't eat that stuff for lunch (although it seems like they have recently changed their menu again and I am DYING to know the changes!). The tuna pita they used to have was to die for though...

Our favorite sit down lunch in the BW area is Captain's Grille. It is a must-do on every trip, sometimes more than once (although that won't be the case this time...we're not staying at BWV )

I've never been to Big River Grille, HATED Sci Fi when we ate there (DH, then DBF, got very sick), and Beaches and Cream to me is, 'eh', and too big of a crapshoot with the seating/waiting, etc.

I'd give ESPN a shot. It's still pretty 'safe' being a chain, but it's different for you at Disney.

We go to Big River Grill everytime we stay on property. We discovered it while renting points at BWV. We enjoy getting a flight of their beers and people watching while we have lunch. If it's hot we grab a table by the window usually in the bar section.

It is not 5-star dining but they have a very good cheese soup there and we have had some great sandwiches and salads. They usually have a daily special that appeals to us.

I say give it a try and decide for yourself.

P.S. The manager also gave us a tour of the brew system (this is not the right wording, but hopefully you know what I mean) they have there in-house. We've found the service to be very warm and friendly.

I voted for Sci Fi. I've eaten there for dinner twice and was less than impressed, but this past July I ate there for lunch and it was great, but that's because I was able to order the burger that's not on their dinner menu. Plus, you cannot go wrong with their BLT soup. They also have really great alcoholic shakes, and the atmosphere is far better than any of your other choices (even though, Beaches and Cream, YUM!!!).

Well, since you have never been to ESPN Club, you have nothing to compare it to. One trip we ate there almost every night. BUT! After our last trip, we will not go back for a meal, maybe just beer and snacks. The food was not good on our last trip (Dec 07) and the service wasn't that great. The menu had been updated and we really liked the old one.

The atmosphere there is neat with all of the tvs (even in the bathroom!) So if you are going during a time there is a sport you really like, you will be sure to catch it there. When we first for the 1st time, DS lobbied for a tv in our bathroom at home for the next 6 months...to no avail.

I noticed you didn't mention Spoodles. If you haven't tried it, it is pretty good.

I like the Sci-Fi for the atmosphere and that's really about it. The food is nothing to write home about but if you stick to the usual burger, onion rings and a shake you shouldn't be disappointed.

I would go to Si Fi for lunch however I would never go back for dinner until they change there menu. This was a must do for us for years. Great atmosphere but the dinner menu we don't care for anymore. I think you will be fine for lunch. I try every place at least once . So I say go for it

We were at Sci-fi last week, and while our waiter was great; we weren't very impressed by it. My kids are younger (oldest is 6) and my nephew is 5, but neither could really get into the movie thing, and either could I. The food wasn't that good either. It wasn't a horrible experience or anything, but we won't be going back.

Other than that kind of food I'm not all that impressed with Sci Fi. But the Burgers are wonderful. Also fun place!!!!!

I'm going by sheer food quality!

We have never eaten at B&C, but you have, so you know the food there. Out of the other three, the tastiest food is at ESPN - hands down.

We usually eat at SciFi because DS loves the atmosphere, but you can get the same burgers at any of the CS places around WDW.

Big River is perfectly fine for a sandwich, and eating outside on the Boardwalk is nice, but it kinda has an "any old restaurant" feel to it.

ESPN has tasty DINGERS!!!!!! Love 'em. And DD loves their Rueben sandwich. The place has a fun appeal as well, with all those screens and stuff.

I could go for those Dingers right now . . .

We love Sci-Fi...but we always have burgers, onions rings and shakes. Very yummy! And the atmosphere is really fun.

I voted for Sci Fi. We've eaten there twice but only for lunch. They have great burgers and shakes. My son and husband love their ribs and the atmosphere is really neat!
