I want to purchase the 5 for 3 pass with unlimited fastpass. I know that you can get them from AAA or the Disney Travel Store online ( I think ). My question is which place has what freebies? I've heard about an ESPN card, free parking & breakfast voucher. Does anyone know who has what?

You must order the passport plus to get the unlimited FP & other "freebies." The normal 5 for 3 do not include these. If you get them through AAA you will also get free parking, you cannot get the parking through Disney Travel Co.

Thanks disneycrista. I dont need the free parking but the cashier at my local AAA office was pretty clueless about any details and I got a little worried.

I have had some trouble with our local AAA office getting correct information.

They don't seem to know what is in their own Disneyland brochure! I guess there's a lot of info out there for them to remember!

I am looking at AAA's Disneyland brochure...on page. #18:

"Play 2 Extra Days FREE!":
Park Hopper features:
Same day entry to both theme parks
Play 2 extra days free
NEW! Collect FASTPASS tickets for multiple attractions at one time. Normally, tickets fro addional FASTPASS attractions can only be pulled when your first FASTPASS ticket has expired. However, you Park Hopper ticket includes the unique benefit of collecting FASTPASS tickets for multiple attractions at one time.

FREE ESPN Zone card $10 value

Convenient access to Theme parks from all Hotels of the Disneyland resort; exclusive entrances into DCA for guests of DGC and PPH.

These tickets are available at my local AAA store--they also have 2 day hopper tickets for $99.

There is also another ticket option listed at the bottom of the page:

DISNEY'S PASSPORT PLUS:
If you're visiting DLR but don't need accomodations, Disney's Passport Plus is designed for you!

2 extra days free added to your park hopper
NEW! Collect FASTPASS tickets for multiple attractions at one time
Free ESPN Zone card--$10 value
Breakfast in the park
EXCLUSIVE! AAA FREE Parking at Disneyland Resort theme parks

When I called my AAA office, they told me that they need a "few days" to order them. She told me that the charge $15 service fee.

So it looks like there are two different options:

Both hoppers offer the unlimited fastpass option and ESPN
The passport plus hoppers include the breakfast voucher and free parking--and they need to be ordered in advance of your trip with a handling charge per order

3 day hopper (play for 5 days) $122.75 adult 99.75 child
more day options available too

Hope this clears it up for everyone!

Unfortunetly that is very deciveing. I purchased the normal hoppers and they DID NOT have the unlimited FP option nor the free breakfast or ESPN card. You MUST ask for the Passport Plus to get these. Do not make the same mistake I did. The only thing I got was the free parking.

The hopper pass they give you when you purchase a package with accomidations is the Passport Plus. That is why they say "If you're visiting DLR but don't need accomodations, Disney's Passport Plus is designed for you."

Well, I just bought 2--5 day hopper passes today at my local AAA office.

They don't say anything about unlimited fastpass, or free parking on them.

My son is going to DL tomorrow with a friend for 3 days--I will find out from him how it the fastpass thing worked out and report back. It sounds like AAA needs to redo their brochure!

My son will be VERY disappointed if this unlimited fasspass doesn't work for him!

They are just regular Hoppers, not the ones that you need for unlimited FP. I got the same ones and even asked about the unlimited FP and was told that I would be able to with them, only to find out when I tried that I couldn't. The only pass that has the unlimited FP are the passport plus.

I guess I will break the bad news to my son this morning:(

I am going to call AAA to let them know that I'm not happy at all--I don't think they should be advertising something that they can't provide.

Thanks for the heads up disneychrista!;)

I agree it if very deceptive. I was even told when I bought my hoppers that they did included the unlimted FP (which they didn't). If we hadn't upgraded to Annual Passes, you better believe I would have gone to them when we got home and gave them an ear full.

I think what they need to clarify is that the hopper purchased with a room package includes those "extra" features. And that if you don't need a room but want those features to purchase the Passport Plus, which they do sell but you have to order them, you can't just pick them up at the office.

goofyfordisney thank you very much! I went back to my local AAA office and tried again. This time the lady at the "cashier" counter was still confused. She didnt know anything about the ESPN card or the breakfast. She said she had parking passes with the tickets she sold. She also didnt understand about multiple fastpass. We almost bought them anyway but decided to walk away and call the Walt Disney Travel Co. I really want the multiple fastpass because we are going during a very busy time. (August 24-30) Before we left the office we noticed an area called "travel agent". We were heading that way when the receptionest at the front stop us and asked us what we wanted. We told her about the Passport Plus tickets with their fetures and benifits and she told us to go to "member services". OK we went there and lo and behold NO PROBLEM!!!! The tickets we wanted are not sold on site. They must be ORDERED!!! We still have time so we paid her and she ordered them (from the Walt Disney Travel Co) for us. I just have to go back to pick them up in about a week. I decided I would go and tell the lady at the "cashier" counter about my findings. I showed her page 18 of the brochure and let her know how they had to be orded from "member service" and she said she already knew that. AURG!!! Go figure. Any way I will have the correct tickets soon!!!

YEAH!!!:Pinkbounc

Ok...I talked to someone at my AAA office that seemed to know what was in their own brochure!

The park hopper tickets that are sold from the "cashier" are 2 day passes (hoppers)--$99 or 3 day get 2 days free (hoppers) $119--these tickets don't have unlimited fastpass option or ESPN.

The park hoppers (get 2 days free) that are sold with their packages have the same features as the Passport Plus except you don't get the 8.75 breakfast voucher. You need to book a package in order to get these.

The Passport plus hoppers have the 2 day free also and include the unlimited fastpass, breakfast voucher and ESPN feature. THESE NEED TO BE ORDERED AT LEAST A WEEK IN ADVANCE--AAA
ORDERS THESE THRU DISNEY. There is a fee.

I wish I had more notice--I would have ordered the Passport plus hoppers for my son. We plan on ordering these for our upcoming December trip though:D

Have fun on your trip!

It is best to show the AAA office the brochuire, page, etc. It makes it easier for them because they do not deal with these requests often especially if you are east of the Mississippi River. It took our agent several calls to CA to get the right tickets. Don't pay until you confirm the proper ticket is being obtained.

The problem is that the brouchure is misleading. It list features available with the hoppers that simpley are not true when purchases the hopper seperate from a package. They need to clairfy this in the brouchure and educate their employees so they know what is or isn't available.

Are these Passport Plus's good for next spring?

(I'm afraid to call AAA and ask since I live on the east coast.)

I have my AAA tickets in hand!!!

Heres the scoop...

The tickets are the ParkHopper ones that have to be ordered for a $13 fee.

They include...

1. Fastpass for multiple locations.

2. Free $10 ESPN Game Card ( Must redeem at ESPN)

3.$8.75 Breakfast in the Park (seperate ticket that expires 1/18/2004)

4. Free Parking (just show your park hopper pass)

5. One free AAA vacation Disneyland luggage tag per pass.

The back of the pass states..

Expires 13 days after first visit. First visit must occur by 01/05/2004. Valid 01/08/2003 thru 01/18/2004

Hope this helps people trying to decide which ticket to buy!!!

:bounce:

I live nearby in Anacortes and I was wondering what AAA office you purchased your tickets at. Thank you in advance.

I just returned from a trip using Passport Plus from AAA. My local office (Bremerton) was closed so my call was forwarded to the Bellevue office. The lady on the phone did not know about the Passport Plus, but my husband was persistent and asked her to check with a manager regarding page 18 of their brochure. When she returned all was well and she placed our order. Everything was fine and tickets arrived as promised.
